Creepypastas, we all know, love, and or hate them, but one thing is true, everyone loves to twist the games we love into nightmarish versions of themselves, but in this tussle of giants, who will come out on top? We chose 6 of the biggest pokemon creepypastas and made them fight! So lets see tonight who will win the POKEMON CREEPYPASTA BATTLE ROYAL!
Find out now, on a KFR!
Before We Start
(CREEPY PASTA CANONS BAYYBEEEEE)
Howdy! Lain (Previously Sumika) here, I’m the main researcher for both Buried Alive and Steven, and so I’m gonna be talking about their canons! Which is surprisingly not that difficult, well, for mister Buried over there at least… Considering the guy doesn’t have a mainline canon and doesn’t have a specific creator? Or at least a confirmed creator which I can trace him back to, so… we’re gonna use what we see, meaning BA is going to get anything linked on his Creepypasta fandom page, things tied to him on the Lavender town Wikipedia page (Lavender town syndrome, which is sort of backed up by the original artist of BA, also created the Lavender town Mythos???. And Whitehand), and the two most important pieces of YouTube media for him.
Steven however, is a lot more straight forward, I mean the guy actually has a tangible canon to work with, created by one Shadowmalerenamon, but surprisingly the guy has some pretty complex stuff to go over, while linked above^^ is the actual remake of strangled red, we’ll also be going over the original (archived) pastas, that being, duh Strangled red, Strangled, and of course Door’s open, all of which should be considered canonical material, also Strangled Red ends with a passage leading into Lost Silver, as the original creator doesn’t exist we will be assuming that Lost Silver counts towards Stevens Canon.
Hello gang, NormallyNormal here! I’ll be tackling Unown King and Hell Bell. Unown King’s media was absurdly hard to find (took me like 10 minutes), but I’ve got a good idea. The main creator of the creepypasta, while generally not listed anywhere, appears to be 7G06 (he has the earliest documented post of the story and frequently claims it’s he who wrote it), who also goes by Dead Bart and is listed as the creator of the Satanic Lavender Town creepypasta on the Pokepasta wiki. This means I’ll be covering 7G06’s YouTube Channel (and ROM hack playthroughs that come with it), his Blogger posts (including both the Spanish and English versions of his creepypastas), and his personal Twitter posts in case they have anything, idk. While there’s only one creepypasta with the Unown King, his other creepypasta “Satanic Lavender Town” will be touched on since it tackles similar themes to the former and you can make the argument the Unown King and “Belial” (the main monster from that story) are related in some way, though that will be touched on later. Hell Bell is comparatively even simpler, as they don’t appear to have any known creator from my research, so we’ll stick to just the original creepypasta itself.
Yo what's up its Cheese I'm back again being in random fucking blogs, I have the TORTURE to fucking research Ghost and BRVR, I could have gotten any of the cool guys but NO I HAD to get these guys, whatever. Ghost has a fairly simple media list, while yes he doesn't have any creator since the original pasta was made by an anonymous writer on a god forgotten forum, so I will be using everything connected to the original pasta which includes the retelling and the hackrom. Now for BRVR I will be using all related stuff made by his creator Star-Byte, which is Pokemon Dead Channel 1 and 2, BRVR'S Manifesto, and the most shocking media of this blog, the OFFICIAL BRVR ASKBLOG, YES, THIS IS A REAL THING, OFFICIALLY ENDORSED TOO. Some other pokepastas show up, most of them being from the same creator, the ones that aren't are also given endorsement by the writers, so this will be used for BRVR too, but only for scaling.
(Trigger warning btw)
Suicide is mentioned a couple times.
So is self harm.
A slur is said like twice
Thanks brvr
Background
Buried Alive
“Wont you join me…?”
Lavender town… What a harrowing place, where people go to bury their pets, their pokemon, their friends, and the people they once held dear, but through the ghosts, monsters, and other non described non euclidean world enders which exist within the tower, one sits at the top, hurling in its grave it longs for another like it to come by, and luckily for it, a piece of meat would come along, and it wouldn’t let go, this world was created by beings beyond it, but that didn’t stop it from manipulating the rules… Just a little off course, so warping the very world itself Buried Alive would meet the player, and would consume the child, tearing through its flesh forcing the world to stop…
But the player would persist, and with that persistent they would become infected, infected with the same Plague which would stick Buried under the ground, but with this virus, it would spread, consuming, feasting, that static, the sound of lavender town playing through the air, and together, never alone again, the now Buried Alive’s, would finally be together forever, and so… the world would come to end.
Steven
“Do you have her?”
Pokemon are our friends, they are our pals, they help us whenever we need it, and to Steven, this is no different, after finally getting his first starter pokemon at the age 14, Steven would get a Charmander, and he would name it “Miki” he and his charmander were inseparable, and together they would take on the world, Miki was unbeatable, able to take down any other pokemon with minimal effort, and as he took down both Brock and Misty, Steven finally began gaining notoriety, people would talk of him like the greatest trainer to live, and that was no understatement, Miki would evolve into Charizard at level 24, Steven was not to be messed with, and finally proving his worth he would challenge the Elite Four, and he would win with next to no effort, they were nothing to him, finally he would have one stand off with his brother Mike, they’d been friends since childhood, and after finally winning, Steven would be crowned as the champion…
Days later, while eating breakfast with his brother, Mike would ask if he could take Miki for a little bit just to get the final pokemon he needed for his Pokedex, Steven would begrudgingly agree, and while they traded something horrible would happen, a snap, the loudest snap which shook Stevens world, and in that trading error, Stevens beloved pet, his esteemed pokemon Miki would die, losing something he loved so abruptly. And so randomly, Steven would freak out, falling into a depression, after burying his beloved Miki in Lavender town tower, the Man he had become would shrivel up and die, he would no longer exist, Stevens long hair would become tangled and messy, his body would shrink in as it consumed itself, he barely looked human, until one night he had an idea.
Steven would head to a doc, jump into the water and begin swimming, he would swim for who knows how long until he made it to Cinnabar island, and surfacing on the shore he would wait, walking back and forth, pacing himself, and then it would appear, a glitchy mess, the truth of this world, the void in reality, MissingNo. Without wasting a second Steven declared MissingNo his, and just by those words alone, MissingNo would join Steven and his quest to bring back his beloved. Getting back into the water Steven would continue to Swim, he Swam until he made his way to the closet Doc near Lavender Town, and he would walk into the Tower, finally making his way to the grave of his beloved, he would send out MissingNo, and he would use it, the glitch would absorb the body, and merging together they would become one, Miki no longer existed, Steven no longer existed.
But they lived, they lived their destruction, and now glowing a bright light, Steven would make his way back to his home, standing over his brother's bed, he would hold his hand out, and he would strangle Mike, his arms wrapped around his brother’s neck, he tried to fight back, but there was nothing to do, Mike would die, with a loud snap, just like the one which killed his beloved Miki…
Now just a rumor, Steven lives on, in an old house, or in the Johto Region, atop a tower, glowing the knowledge of a new world, a new perspective. And if you dare to challenge him, prepare for the most unfair fight of your life, and if you somehow make it out, let him rest, Stevens memory should be forgotten, leave the corpse to his beloved Miki, leave his soul at peace, because if you dont… You will see the truth too, and it isn’t pretty.
Unown King
“The sacrifice of your team has allowed the release of The Unown King.”
Pandora’s Box. A mythical artifact said to contain demons that will curse the world upon their release. Said object would go down in whispers as a mere myth… until the day a kid got a strange copy of Pokemon Silver.
With it came a pre-existing save file and a set of instructions, and since this kid had nothing better to do, they naively played along, capturing the few remaining legendary Pokemon still uncaptured in the game, going to the Ruins of Alph, playing the Unown Radio and sacrificing their team to the statue of The Beast. The Unown King had been awakened.
In no time at all, it wiped out and consumed every living being in the game, be it human or Pokemon, until all that was left was the player. The demon made short work of their team, then finished off the trainer, bringing an end to the game and, according to the words of the one who had sent this copy to them, dooming all of humanity. Now the monster wanders the world, in search of its next victim.
Just hope it won’t find you.
Hell Bell
“Hell Bell used IMPRISONMENT!”
The 4th generation of Pokemon was certainly one of its most defining, be it with the introduction of the physical/special split, various evolutions, and most notably here, the global trading station, allowing anyone to trade Pokemon with anybody else across the world if they so wanted to… but what if this trade came with a price?
For the unfortunate victim of this tale, it all began when she got a hacked copy of the game from her older brother, who had fallen out of Pokemon by the release of Diamond and Pearl. Upon trading a hacked Rayquaza off for the first Pokemon she spotted, a level 100 Bronzong, she’d receive a Shiny Bronzong going by the name Hell Bell.
Being upset by its name, and the fact all its stats were 666, alongside its trainer being listed as a certain man named Beelze, she decided she wanted it gone, yet no matter what she did, she could not get rid of it, be it via trading it away or releasing it; instead, it communicated to her via letters it wrote, telling her to bring it back to where it came from; Lost Tower.
After a trek filled with inexplicable oddities and shifts to the game, she’d reach a secret room within Lost Tower wherein she’d find the owner of Hell Bell, the gentleman Beelze, who wished to thank her for returning Hell Bell to him by having her write down her name for him. Her real name. Despite her reluctance, she was forced to abide, and with that contract signed, her soul now belonged to him.
From then on, she lived her life as a walking corpse, a person who has lost their will, left with nothing but the regrets of that day and a constant reminder to never RING THE BELL.
BRVR
“BRVR wants to know if you still love him.”
Have you ever had a best friend? No? Fucking loser, but to those who do, you know that having a best friend its the equivalent to have a brother (or sister), someone you can count in, someone you can go to when you were feeling down, and that's exactly whatade BRVR real.
There used to be a kid who didn't have friends, who went to a very strict private school, no one talked to each other, she felt… alone, but not for long, since one day she would get a GameCube! And with it a copy of the (kinda shitty) pokemon game, Pokemon Channel, in here she felt like she finally had a friend, since in it there was a Pikachu that she (horribly) named BRVR (abbreviation for brother?? its pronounced bruh vurr), the hours she spent on the game simply talking to the Pikachu, playing the minigames, watching the TV, it made a bond between the two, a bond that could only be described as true friendship…
Anyways then the girl got changed into a public school, gained new friends and forgot about the game, yeah, she stayed YEARS without ever playing it again since she got new friends, people in real life that made her feel how BRVR did when she was alone, but obviously this is a Creepypasta, not everything is joy and whimsy, since one day she would have to go away to another city, breaking the contact with all of her friends, being alone yet again, or so she thought, since while going through her old stuff she found the dusty copy of Pokemon Channel, maybe she could finally connect again with her old friend, with her virtual brother and-
Yeah he turned evil, yep, basically BRVR went insane, killing every single Pokemon in the game, feeling betrayed by the person he once saw as a best friend, so as soon as she came back, he wasted no time on showing what he did to the place, from burning forests to seas of blood, his twisted sense of grief had turned the once innocent game into a personal hell.
Eventually after showing the protagonist around, he decided to finish it all off, finally taking revenge on the person that left him, sucking her into the game and leaving a Pikachu plush on her room, killing her and finally putting an end to this… then her mom walked into the room.
The mother was a bit concerned as to why her daughter had screamed so loud for multiple minutes, so she checked in only to find her nowhere to be seen, her console still plugged in, so, like any responsible mom would do, she, instead of calling the authorities for her daughter that yelled and suddenly disappeared, just, sat down to play and see what scared her daughter so badly, what happens next is… well I cannot sugarcoat it, its just the same story again but this time BRVR looks to be a bit guilty, after all he did kill his best friend over a pity revenge, was it all truly worth it? All this killing, revenge, plotting, self harm (yeah), did it mean anything in the end? And so when the end approached, BRVR asked one single thing… “BRVR asks if he can be redeemed.”
The mother fucking picks yes because why not, but BRVR is far too deep in his own answer, deciding to make things right, he sacrifices himself, erasing himself from history, making it so he would never be born, and thus undone everything that was done, and finally, the protagonist came back to life, living with her mother like if nothing ever happened…
But of course it doesn't end there!, even after his death, BRVR SOMEHOW came back, living on the game like usual, until suddenly loads of Pokepastas got into the game, while confused, he just decided to let it flow, and thus, he lives to this day, with the company of new Pokemon who are as flawed as him, Pokemon he can bond with, Pokemon that he could finally be friends with once again, and all in exchange to answer the ponders of people in the internet, so, with all said, there is only something else to mention.
Ghost
“And if we are cursed…”
What happens to us when we die?”
What happens when pokemon die? A question that maybe some of you had, usually when a fight happens pokemon merely “faint”, turning unconscious and needing help from a Pokemon Center, but what if they couldn't? What if there was something worse than fainting?.
One day, a collector of bootleg pokemon games found an interesting cartridge titled “Pokemon Black Version” at a flea market, no info about it online whatsoever, it made him curious of what it could have, so as any normal (not really?) person would, he played it.
What happened after was a series of curious events, it wasn't any shocking horror, but rather a feature, you see, alongside his starter he was given another pokemon, a ghost, which came with what one could call an instant win button, the move “curse”.
Now, I know what you are thinking, yes, curse is an actual move, but here it was different, upon use the Ghost would curse the opponent, killing them on the spot, no fainting, no black out, death, it was an interesting concept for such a game like Pokemon, while death has been a thing in the franchise, it was never used so explicitly for battle, but this isn't normal Pokemon now is it?.
Using this move the protagonist blazed through the game, it always took a single curse to do the job, was it low level Pokemon or even the elite 4, they all fell to the same fate, even the trainers weren't safe from it, since once he finished the fight one last choice was given, curse the trainer or leave, but clearly we all know what he picked, the move killed every trainer in its path, leaving a trail of gravestones where people once we're standing.
After all, the protagonist won the game, killing the elite 4 and reaching the hall of fame… until the post game started, years later after his victory, the protagonist’s character was old now, moving at half the speed through a deserted world, no pokemon or trainers at any sight, it was empty, all because of him, death came and swayed everyone off its feet, and that would include him, since once he reached the home of the character he controlled that same Ghost would appear to him, flashing visages of every single one of his victims, all the people the player commanded to kill without a thought on the consequences, and when the victim list stopped, a single digit was added to the countdown, following a single message.
Ghost used Curse!.
Experience & Skill
Buried Alive
Buried Alive is actually a pretty good tactician, while of course he’s not perfect he’s still able to out play people like Red who is an incredibly skilled trainer, he himself also has quite a bit of experience, I mean LOOK at the levels of his pokemon, he has to have trained them, in fact he’s probably trained himself as well, he was able to disarm Red in mere moments and then eat him with barely any struggle.
Speaking of battle skill Buried Alive actually uses items in his battle, specifically to amp his pokemon and make them stronger, or to make himself just unbeatable in certain scenarios, I mean, a lot of his pokemon actually know debuffing moves to set up later pokemon to be in an advantageous position, allowing him to claim easy victory over anyone.
He’s also a pretty good leader, as he has a sort of weird hivemind thing going on? Where he can create and amass an army, then control said army to take over quote “Everyone”... even just assuming that this is the kanto region this is fucking insane, thats still hundreds of thousands of people controlled in minutes, and then sent to control other people in that same minute.
Steven
Steven is nothing to scoff at, the guys a world renowned champion for a reason, Stevens a really good trainer, gym leaders regarded Steven as as really damn smart, or at least gave him praise about his battles, this is especially shocking considering Gym leaders work as pokemon trainers for most of their lives, word of his name spread so far that people in other towns knew of Steven before he got there, so there's no shock that Steven was able to take down the actual Elite Four with ease, they weren’t even a struggle to the guy and were basically brushed up, he could also beat his brother Mike incredibly easy as well, who also took down the elite four with ease, these people are literally foot-notes in his story. And due to MissingNo, Steven should also hold all the knowledge of the universe in his head, not only is this just HIS universe but others as well, he’s aware of things like Buried Alive, Brvr, Ghost, some guy named Bill, and even SONIC.EXE… for some reason.
Unown King
The Unown King is a vicious creature that threatens all living things. Being a demonic being of the apocalypse, the Unown King has numerous statements claiming its a threat to ALL of humanity, and its proven it. It was able to wipe out all living beings, Pokemon or human, across the entirety of the Kanto and Johto regions in at most an hour, and it does display some degree of intelligence, intentionally leaving only a Sandshrew and Staryu alive so the player would have a way to go confront it in Dr. Oak’s lab. Keep in mind that the Unown King is never noted to have lost health during the final fight, implying it wiped out EVERY HUMAN AND POKEMON (including the three legendary birds and the 4 different MissingNos) without being hit once. All in all, much better than what you’d expect for such a monster.
Hell Bell
Hell Bell and Beelze don’t show off much of note in their stories. They’re at least quite proficient at using their abilities and make a good pair for luring in players; Hell Bell restricts the player’s travel options and slowly influences them to bring it back to Beelze, who can then take control of their minds and force them into a contract for their souls. They’re a duo who relies more on their esoteric abilities rather than direct fisticuffs, making them quite the tricky pair to deal with.
BRVR
Surprisingly BRVR is quite interesting when it comes to experience, you see, he basically spent so much time alone that he became aware of how his world works, of how everything adds up, even realizing that his own reality made no sense, this led to him killing everyone in the game without seemingly any struggle, its also shown that he experienced the same stuff again and again so much that he could memorize the answers of a quiz.
But honestly the best feat is that he's supposedly the strongest out of all the Pokepastas trapped in his world, which means he's comparable and even superior to Pokemons like Myra the Squirtle being level 100, Myra the Vulpix who was able to defeat an entire dungeon filled with zombie pokemon, even standing her ground against the Unborns (more on this later), or even other Pokemon with similar feats to him like Shelly who was able to wipe out every Pokemon and person themselves physically in a short span of time, I mean hell, people like Skye or Myra (the Squirtle) were even able to be face to face with Arceus and Grovyle (the time traveler) and end up living!.
Oh and he's also died, like, a lot of times, he remembers each one of them, so he probably knows what he can come back from.
Ghost
Ghost surprisingly has quite a set of feats on Its belt, what are those? Well its quite simple, thanks to the hackrom Ghost canonically just, went through all the events of the first gen, its even said in the original pasta that the player beat the elite 4!, and even by the end of the game its implied Ghost killed every single trainer and Pokemon over the years after becoming a champion.
Surprisingly that's like, all, yeah no that's about it.
Equipment
Buried Alive
X-Attack
Ah yes, the good ol X-Attack, Buried alive carries a couple of these on his person seemingly at all times, used for the usual stat buffing and whatnot, although it passes up a turn.
Buried Alives
After the events of the original game, and Buried alive consumes you, being unable to continue, you are forced to start a new game, but when you start that new game, you become Buried Alived, or well… in this case a zombie of some kind, and well, they work as zombies as well, being able to change a person into one of them through consumption, and there are a LOT of these fuckers.
I mean, as an exponential growth type of group these things can become a pandemic incredibly quickly, in fact it was SO quick that the entire kanto region was overrun with these things within a matter of minutes.
While these things probably don’t have the pokemon which the main Buried Alive has, and they are considered separate things (The main Buried Alive has Red eyes while the rest have white) they’re still pretty damn powerful and certainly not a threat to be taken lightly.
Steven
Glitch Item
An item dropped after defeating Steven, this glitch item is able to buff any pokemon which comes into contact with it, giving them MissingNo like abilities, although its pretty useless as its already fused to Steven and Miki.
Unown King
Claws
Large claws covered in blood it uses to tear apart its victims.
Leftovers
Once the protagonist went to confront the Unown King, they’d find that it came equipped with leftovers, an item that restores 1/16th of the Pokemon’s HP every turn.
Hell Bell
Cherish Ball
The Pokeball Hell Bell was captured in.
Hell Bell arrived with a custom letter attached to it threatening anyone who got it to bring it back. Not very nice.
It can also communicate with the player by making more letters for itself.
BRVR
Fishing Rod
I guess he likes fishing?
Tea
Yummy
The Pikachu TV
While it doesn't really seem that interesting at first, the TV actually lets BRVR to enter different channels from it, although this doesn't sound that helpful at first, its good to mention that no one can access or reach the TV except for him, even defending itself if anyone tried to touch it (its alive I guess).
Pikachu Dolls Z
The little fucked up things that BRVR can spawn at will!, they are pretty much useless aside from the fact that he can just make a bunch of them, and also that they can put you in a trance
Jirachi
While not the conventional type of arsenal, Jirachi seems to be an extension of BRVR that only exists to torment him, appearing when he's all alone, being probably all his guilt and sadness. It can potentially make wishes, but we never saw it do that nor did BRVR was able to make a wish.
Ghost
Nothing LMAO
No mention ever of holding an item, you could argue the romhack gives it all the Pokemon items but that's stupidly silly.
Abilities
Buried Alive
Self-Sustenance
Buried Alive is a zombie, and due to being a zombie is able to sustain itself despite not eating for who knows how long, considering it said its been hungry and Red was the only person to get up through the tower in a long while, Buried Alive can go awhile without eating.
Considering that Buried Alive is meant to be a sort of Zombie which was, well Buried alive, and basing off of it being a literal rotting corpse, we can assume that Buried Alive has no real function of life, which means that its heart has stopped beating, or blood has stopped pumping through its body, considering it still moves this presumably means that Buried Alive could continue to move its body as long as its Muscles and Nervous system are intact and are sending signals to the brain.
Lavender Town Syndrome
This is certainly a weird one I found while researching. Basically yeah, Buried Alive is very-much connected to the ever so infamous “Lavender Town Syndrome” in-fact he’s so connected to the mythos that his (possible) creator, created the original Lavender Town Syndrome mythos, which makes sense considering when you lose to him he’s able to simply play the song, or a version of the song which can still cause the Lavender Town Syndrome effect, if you’re wondering here’s the alleged theme of his song which causes Lavender Town Syndrome.
Lavender town has some pretty deadly effects on the average person, the main, and the main known ability of Lavender Town Syndrome is the idea that the song itself makes the person who listens to it, kill themselves, which is true to the original mythos, however it also has a lot more in store, beyond simply just making you kill yourself, Lavender Town is able to also cause Madness, and outright control your mind and movement at times.
If that wasn’t enough however, the creator of the effect known as Chiro, who was regarded as having a strong mind, was also affected by the power of Lavender Town, actually, this thing is pretty damn deadly, once you’ve heard it, you’re basically cursed, every single person who died due to the song will appear to you as spirits and attack you, as you are beckoned to kill yourself, and when you do, you also get sealed within the song, forever wanting more.
Erasure/Data Manipulation
Buried alive, on multiple occasions has shown the ability to erase the game, in the original story, after you lose to Buried the game would crash, and then it would load up a new image on your gameboy where the original intro to the gameboy would be replaced with Buried eating the player and a static noise would play, after this point Buried Alive would quite literally delete your entire save file, removing every single piece of progress you had made throughout the entire game, and the cherry on top? Buried Alive does this even if you win, because he’s a sore loser.
Technology Manipulation
Buried alive, has unsurprisingly shown a good bit a technology manipulation, although most of these go beyond his casual data manipulation, in the video which plays his original song the video begins to glitch due to this warping the screen, as shown above, that same song actually cannot stop once its been started, after the Officers shoot down the cassette playing the original Lavender Town theme, it kept playing despite the fact that it had been destroyed.
Corruption/Assimilation
Brought up before a bit, Buried Alive IS a zombie, and due to being a Zombie, he has the ability to corrupt those who he consumes, after consuming the player they become a Buried Alive, while this can be done through consumption, sometimes it also works on contact, although the clarifications on this seem a little iffy, while this seems slightly weird at first, this Corruption also works as a sort of Assimilation, making you think you are Buried Alive, and making you talk like him as well, this also seemingly works as a sort of Power Nullification, as the lady who is chanting away spirits from the first floor is unable to stop being turned into a Buried Alive.
Steven
MissingNo Physiology
Steven, after fusing with MissingNo, was given its power, and by using that power Steven became something beyond human, considered something which never happened in the first place, all history which had Steven in it was erased, after trying to figure out what happened, scanning items which can discover anything, stuff like ghosts like the silph scope, Steven was completely absent from that world, unable to be discovered, this is further backed up by the fact that most Pokemon completely ignored him after he had caught MissingNo, seemingly making him completely unrecognizable without proper equipment.
Data Manipulation
After learning the truth and becoming one with MissingNo, Steven became something beyond that, and using MissingNo’s power, Steven was able to manipulate the world itself, like messing with the title screen which the Cartridge he exists in uses
Power Nullification
Steven is one tricky fucker, trying to control him is practically impossible, things like mind control or body puppetry would be useless against the guy, as he’s priorly said “No” to using the very continue button forcing you to make a new game as you become powerless, if you think you can save or load out of there either thats a no go, as Steven’s stopped people from using that before, and of course, at the start of the game Steven forces you to play as him, being unable to create a new character.
Future Sight
Having complete control over his world Steven was able to see the future as the events played out in the past, becoming aware of the world he was in let him see what was coming and refusing to relive what had happened early.
Time Manipulation
Stevens got some pretty interesting Time Manipulation, he’s shown using it a couple times, but the main thing is that he’s used it to skip years into the future, he can also force this onto other people, forcing them to skip years into the future, like when he did it to Gold.
Forced Control
After encountering MissingNo, Steven simply said “Mine” and forced it to go under his control.
Sound Manipulation
Steven has shown the ability to mess with the ingame sound, he’s used it to make it slower, and into a deep hum to unnerve the player, he can also stop songs and play new ones just in case he wants to set the mood or something.
Emotion Manipulation
Probably one of Steven’s strongest abilities, his Emotional Manipulation lets him force anyone who sees him to start crying, making them overpowered by their emotions and unable to attack, although this doesn’t just keep to the outside world, he’s done it to Pokemon before, making them too scared to attack.
Telekinesis
If you ever find your way into his old home and don't leave before the timer ends, Steven will lock every door in the house telekinetically, making it impossible to leave.
Curse/Luck Manipulation
Steven was able to curse someone with bad luck.
Erasure
Steven has some pretty potent erasure, he’s pretty vocal about it as well, you are literally swallowed by a void, you are buried, your memory is buried, this isn’t just a one time thing though, he’s shown the ability of affecting things which literally do not exist, things that should’ve happened but never did, nothing is left of these events. While the impact of these events still, well, exist, the information left behind by Steven disappears entirely, his history was completely erased.
BFR
In Pokemon Lost Silver, Steven sends the player character into a red room without a way to escape, this place slowly widdles away your body, making you decompose or worse, and when you finally reach the top you are locked away in an area which you cannot escape from, this then erases your physical form, leaving you completely powerless without a way to escape.
Sealing
While we’re unable to prove anything to be true sealment, Steven’s little hell dimension contained multiple people all of whom were turned into white statues, unmoving and untalking. He also did this to Red, making him unable to do anything other than sending out Pikachu, I mean, we see this slowly corrupt Gold as well, described as turning all white then proceeding to lose your limbs, so its entirely possible that Steven can just freeze you in place and make you unable to speak.
Death Manipulation
Can cause pokemon to feint without any input.
Mind Manipulation
Steven is able to flood your mind with so much information that you vomit or become unable to move for a short period of time.
Unown King
Radio Generation
its implied the Unown King’s passive existence generates a strange frequency that can be picked up by radios, though its never shown to directly weaponize it.
Sound & Fear Manipulation
Apparently a big sound of its own theme song, the Unown King’s awakening passively overrode all music in the game with the eerie music from the Unown Radio, just the sound of which induces a great sense of nervousness. This extends to the Unown King itself, who traumatized the protagonist so badly they couldn’t stop thinking about their experience with its game for a month straight, and every time they do remember it now, they get goosebumps from the mere thought of it.
Bite
The Unown King is shown to use the move Bite to kill the in-game trainer… despite the fact it doesn’t appear to have a visible mouth. In Gen 2, Bite is a Dark-Type move with a 30% chance to make an opponent flinch, which skips their turn. Its typing allows it to do 2x damage to Ghost-Type and Psychic-Type Pokemon, but only half the damage to Fighting-Type and other Dark-Type Pokemon (this also applies to Fairy-Types, but they weren’t in the game in this generation).
Self-Sustenance
Its Pokedex entry states it can sleep for thousands of years (though the protagonist’s reading of it only states centuries for some reason), though it evidently does need to feed after this, since its what it does upon waking up. Even beyond this, its big rampage across the world establishes it even killed off all Pokemon in the ocean, indicating it can likely hold its breath with little issue.
Non-Physical Interaction/Immortality Negation
During the Unown King’s rampage across the world, it was able to wipe out all Pokemon in both Kanto and Johto, which would naturally include multiple Ghost-Type Pokemon. Beyond this, it can affect weirder entities; the protagonist notes that the PC in the game had the 4 different MissingNo variants (MissingNo, Ghost, Kabutops Fossil, and Aerodactyl Fossil), which is important given it was explicitly able to kill all the Pokemon in said PC that would all be pure data at that moment and INCLUDE the glitchy mess that is MissingNo. This is relevant since MissingNo is made to overwrite Pokemon that were cut from the game, and thus don’t exist, while the other three outright lack any data of their own, making directly killing them pretty impressive. Additionally, MissingNo can’t even die conventionally, as its health bar can never reach 0, but rather, will scroll through a variety of different letters/symbols and wrap around the screen, giving it virtually infinite HP… that Unown King kinda just bypasses lmao.
Dream Manipulation
After the save file was deleted, the Unown King gave the protagonist a dream that they were the Unown King in search of its next victim, and even months later, the protagonist continued to get nightmares about the whole ordeal.
Erasure/Data Manipulation & Possible Power Nullification
When sacrificing their Pokemon to the Unown King, their entire party was simply made to disappear, being stated to be “gone” altogether, even from the game’s party menu. The Unown King erasing things is fairly consistent within the story, since it could even get to the Pokemon in the PCs and those killed by it don’t even leave any sort of in-game sprite behind. At the end of the story, the Unown King erased the previous playthrough after killing the trainer, forcing them to start a new one (its worth noting the official English translation notes the player couldn’t CONTINUE the saved game, implying that in this version it didn’t erase the save file, but was preventing the player from continuing it), and its control over the game is fairly consistent given it could also make the screen go dark to create a new Pokedex entry for itself and force the fight to continue even after all of the player’s Pokemon were dead to kill the trainer directly.
Fate Manipulation [Debatable]
A strange aspect of the Unown King’s story is the strange number of “coincidences” it brings about. When the protagonist first starts the game, the in-game hour and day of the week were the exact same as the time the protagonist was playing the game, something the protagonist implies is not a coincidence. Later on, the precise moment that they’d end up finishing the ritual to summon the Unown King, the in-game time would be at EXACTLY 666 hours. While these could be hyper-specific coincidences, the end of the story directly credits these events to the Unown King and the person who gave the protagonist the game to begin with, implying these very tiny coincidences were somehow brought about via their influence.
Hell Bell
Bell Physiology
Well, besides the fact its literally a bell, meaning its inorganic, it also possesses a value of 666 in all its stats… corny-
Data Manipulation/Creation
It was able to write out a letter to the player with custom text despite that mechanic… literally not existing in the Diamond and Pearl games. Even after the first letter was removed, it simply created more letters to communicate with the player. The player even notes it was managing to alter the game despite the game not being hacked to begin with, giving it good range for its control.
Possible Erasure
Shortly after obtaining Hell Bell and going to return it, the protagonist found that every NPC in the path towards Lost Tower was completely gone with the exception of a single old man, implying Hell Bell got rid of them somehow.
Sound/Mind Manipulation
Hell Bell’s has a few showings of it affecting the mind, such as driving an old man insane to the point all he could say was to “RING THE BELL” on loop, which is shown to be caused by the sound of it ringing its own bell like when it started doing the same to the protagonist, making her repeat what the old man was saying. Its trainer also has impressive showings of this, but that’ll be touched on in Allies.
Paralysis Inducement
Power Nullification
Hell Bell can prevent the player from using Fly to go to specific locations… which just doesn’t make sense??? It could theoretically be applied to other mechanics, but we’re not given too many specifics.
IMPRISONMENT
A unique ability it displays at the end of the story, it acts as the final step required for the fulfilment of Beelze’s contracts and seemingly necessitating physical contact, the effects of which are covered in Allies.
BRVR
BRVR Physiology
Surprisingly, BRVR has a very… complex and weird physiology which gives him a bunch of interesting stuff to talk about, you see, BRVR is basically a being made of data, a part of a game, hard coded into it, but surprisingly he's also… not code at all, its confusing I must say, but It can be explained in a simple way, he's basically both at the same time (oh yeah baby we are going this route), it is explained two times in the askblog how BRVR is hard-coded in the world, while also showing how he's not even part of it anymore, in a weird middle space. This is more clear thanks to how BRVR mentions that if a new Pikachu came to his game, then the game itself wouldn't recognize BRVR as Pikachu, but still somehow be still an important part of the world, its even implied that even then he would still be powerful since he says how he wouldn't torture the new Pikachu.
I am aware of how crazy it sounds to be data and not to be data at the same time, it kinda hints to… a certain word that would be very strong if true, so that's why I'm going to clarify it in the Before The Verdict section.
Moving from the data part, BRVR is still pretty much able to bleed, since well, you can probably see in the pictures that he has a self harm cut at all times. He also, thanks to his physiology, doesn't have a soul.
Pikachu Abilities
Not really that surprising, BRVR has shown to have the same abilities as normal Pikachus (although it was stated how he's only gen 3, so only the description of that generation will be used), which are:
- Thundershock: An electric attack that may paralyze the foe
- Thunderbolt: same as above
- Thunder: would you look at that, same as above
He even showed to be able to use electricity to power up things or self defense before.
Immortality
One of the strongest things BRVR has, I assure you, this thing literally cannot die! And I mean it, but to make things more simple let's break it down into sections.
Physical
Things that he could come back from that require any type of body injury or normal death cause.
- Its implied he killed himself via using his own blood to write on the wall
- Can't die from old age
- Drowned, impaled, hung
- Explicitly stated that he tried to kill himself
- He quite literally tried to drown himself
- A stab to the head
Data Erasure
Basically the time he survived his data being erased.
- Survived the savefile being erased (entirely)
- Which he stated would kill him, yet it didn't.
Information Erasure
The most interesting one, since due how it worked it would qualify as info level.
- In a ditch effort at redemption he made it so he was never born to begin with, meaning no one would remember him and everything he did never happened, which actually worked since the first protagonist came back to life at the end of the second pasta.
- Buuuut we do know that he also came back from it, firstly because well, the askblog exists, and secondly because Jirachi was still alive, who we know is an extension of BRVR himself and that has the same type of immortality as him.
- As a little extra we also see him in fetus form, why? Idk lol.
How.
Well its not really shown that much in-depth, but we do know that when he dies the world seems to do some sort of soft reset or failsafe which instantly heals him from his wounds and brings him back to life, its also mentioned by Myra that nothing she could throw at him would be able to kill him for good, which means a lot more than what is shown here, but that's for Myra's section.
its also possible that his immortality could have layers, given how he stated that when he kills a Pokemon its dead for good, yet when he tries to kill himself (yes I'm going that route) he can still come back.
Reality Warping/Corruption
Something he does quite a lot its the ability to change and manipulate the world he lives in to his whim, like changing the sky and clouds, changing the walls, and even made the screen fade to black, but it has gone on to other levels, like how he controlled the game, didn't let it reset, shut down the game himself and even stated how he could change the genre of the game entirely!
It is worth mentioning that most of the time the changes that he does can be entirely passive, but that doesn't mean he can't do it on command seeing how when asked why his tv is alive, he said he just wanted it to be.
He also used this as some sort of corruption to fuck up a Vulpix pretty badly.
Shape-Shifting
While not something he does a lot, he has shown to be able to change his body at will like the gif above shows, these changes can even give him extra abilities that will be mentioned later.
Enhanced Vision
And that later is right now lol, using the new eye formed in his body that he copied from Jirachi he was able to “look into his heart” (which in this case would be himself since Jirachi is an extension of himself) and seeing the truth (although sometimes what he sees can leave him sad), he was also able to see the ghost of Skye multiple times thanks to this.
Creation
Tho not shown much aside from making the Pikachu dolls, he stated he can just make things exist if he wants to, even spam it lol.
4th-Wall Awareness
Yes, he can very much hear you, yes, YOU dear reader, so be careful about what you say, or not, I really don't care.
Anyways, he also showed to be able to see the person playing, even before he turned evil, oh and he was also able to bite the reader
Non-Physical Interaction
This one is very simple to be honest, he's been shown to be able to Interact with the player physically, and as stated before, bite the hand of the reader off, which, y'know, as a reader that wouldn't be something that could happen, but he also could interact with the tv crew who thanks to what's implied, they are simply code inside of the tv.
Immersion
While he was in grief after his friend left him, BRVR one day tried to touch the TV, and as he described it, “there was no TV screen at all”, meaning how he could freely enter the tv at will, he even did it twice.
Blood Manipulation/Biological Manipulation
Quite a simple hax, he's basically able to make things bleed for no reason, this would also tie with being able to manipulate the biology of things given how he was able to make a mushroom bleed.
Potential Future Sight/Fate Manipulation
BRVR was able to use the fortune channel to mess with the protagonist about her fortune, honestly its not really elaborated on and its never mentioned again, so its up to interpretation.
Forced Movement
In the original creepypasta BRVR basically keeps forcing the protagonist to follow him everywhere, he does this a lot actually.
Plant Manipulation
Something he does literally just once, he was somehow able to grow Pikachu heads from plants, I… I don't know man.
Fire Manipulation
During the first Creepypasta BRVR takes the protag to the Viridian Forest, showing that he burned it up.
Erasure
As mentioned before, BRVR had the ability to erase stuff, like the savefile as previously mentioned, and even himself from ever being born, while yes he used this ability on himself, its not dumb to think he could use it on other people.
Humidity/Moist Manipulation?
I'm not sure what to call this, but basically BRVR as the image above shows was able to dry up both an Oddish and a Milotic, kinda painful yikes.
BFR [Debatable]
At the start of the AskBlog is told that everyone got into BRVR’s world without their consent, one could argue BRVR did this, but he himself is confused as to why they are here, so its probably most likely an ability from the world itself that works passively, not something BRVR can control.
Text Manipulation
BRVR during the AskBlog talks through little captions that appear above the post or above his head, these captions represent his thoughts, but he can control them, pretty neat.
Sound Manipulation
He can just uh, distort music, that's about it.
Emphatic Manipulation
When he sings he can like, make you sad, lol.
Levitation
Everyone floats or something.
Sealing [Debatable]
Although its a bit vague, it seems that the pokemon part of the tv crew are stuck in the tv, while none of the other Pokepastas can reach them, its unclear if BRVR did this himself, but its worth mentioning.
Life Manipulation
Trying to see if other Pokemon could change mind and realize the truth of his world, he tried reviving one, but it was to no avail.
Ghost
Ghost Physiology
Ghost is… well… a ghost, so obviously it has a different physiology, by default it should have the basic things a ghost has, y'know, levitating, self sustenance, phasing, invisibility, and all the neat little tricks that come with not having a body.
Curse
Inarguably the most iconic ability that It has, as its the main point of the whole story, Curse is a move that does actually exist in the real Pokemon games, but since this is gen 1 (which didn't have the move curse) and its also very different of how curse works, I'm not counting what the actual move does, but its not like It needs it, Ghost’s curse is very strong as it is since its practically death manipulation! You see, whatever Pokemon (or trainer) the move is used on instantly dies on the spot, not only that, they also get basically erased from reality! Only leaving a gravestone on the empty place where the trainer, for example, used to stand. Now this does sound very strong on itself, but it doesn't even stop there, since it has been shown that it can also fuck up the game and erase entire savefiles, move its way into real life, and most surprisingly of all, bypassing immortality all together (see BTV).
Obviously not everything is perfect, since there is a… little tinny problem with the move… and its that it doesn't work on ghosts, or well, Ghost-types as a whole, but also the game itself won't let you curse a character if its plot relevant at least until they aren't anymore.
Reality Warping/Code Manipulation
To no one's surprise after hearing that It can brick the game, yes, Ghost does also have a tad of control over the game, but nothing too crazy really; for example, it was able to change the start screen of the game and in the retelling even forcing its way into your team, but nothing notable after that.
Fear Manipulation
This one is very simple, but basically, anyone that gets in a fight with Ghost will be too scared to fight back, that's it.
Sound Manipulation
Although not really that impressive since this version of the song didn't have any curse on it, Ghost was able to loop the lavender town song and also make it follow the player around.
Power Nullification
Even if a bit… confusing, Ghost was able to take away the ability of the player to use items or run away from the fight, but it also specifically let the player attack, which if you ask me its a dumb decision but oh well, aurafarming be damned.
Data/Soul Manipulation? Its weird
At the end of the Creepypasta when the protagonist encounters Ghost, it flashes the screen with the victims of the player, now I don't know if its data manipulation or soul manipulation, I would usually lean soul, but Ghost has been shown to specifically be unable to affect other ghosts, so take this however you want.
Fate Manipulation
Surprisingly the protagonist really liked the hackroom, so he just, y'know, played it again, discovering that even if you didn't kill anyone with Ghost, It would still trigger the cinematic battle by the end of it and the demise of the protagonist (in the game), its even compared to the inevitability of death, so it makes sense that this is some sort of fate manipulation.
4th-Wall Awareness
Yeah (what more do you want me to say?, Its aware of you)
Resistances
Buried Alive
- Erasure: Lives the deletion of the save file to continue manipulating the code of the Gameboy itself
- Data Manipulation: Lives his data being deleted after the Save File is deleted.
- Insanity/Mind Manipulation: Is completely fine while listening to the Lavender Town Theme (Its a vibe tbh)
- Soul Stealing/Manipulation: Is able to ignore the Channeling of the Lady on the first floor of Lavender Town Tower, also ignores the soul stealing nature of Lavender Town Syndrome.
- Corruption: Should resist Missingno’s Corruption due to killing the player when they enter the cave to escape the world's corruption.
Steven
- Body Control: Resists the player’s control.
- Data Manipulation: Steven physically cannot be stopped regardless of how hard the game tries.
- Data Collection: Immune to the data collective abilities of the Shark, which is comparable to the Silph Scope.
- Time Manipulation: When fused with MissingNo, Steven should be immune to the effects of time manipulation.
- Erasure/Information Manipulation: Steven doesn’t exist, and even after his original informational erasure, he simply came back as if nothing happened.
- Time Erasure: Was erased once before lol and just came back.
- Death Manipulation: Immune to stuff like Perish Song.
- Power Nullification: Due to being everywhere he should exist within his hell dimension which is passive power nullification.
Unown King
- Slight Empathy/Fear Manipulation: Unaffected by its own Unown Radio music, which induces a sense of great nervousness.
- Corruption: Able to kill all Pokemon in the player’s PC, which includes all versions of MissingNo, without suffering the corruptive effects it has on in-game data.
- Erasure/Data Manipulation: After the save file it was on got deleted, its heavily implied it survived, both due to the man in the black suit stating humanity was condemned by its release (meaning the Unown King was still going around threatening humanity) and the protagonist being given a nightmare showing it continuing to prowl the world for its next victim after the fact. Should also be comparable to Lucifer (see Allies), who can also survive the erasure of the save file.
- Extreme Temperatures: Likely comparable to Lucifer (more on him in Allies), who survived literally falling out of Heaven, naturally having to survive the heat from re-entry and the vacuum of space to do so.
- Petrification/Sleep Inducement [Limited]: Upon the player sacrificing all their Pokemon to the Unown King, it was able to awaken and escape being turned into a statue. This does require a ritual to bring it back, however.
Hell Bell
- BFR: The game made it impossible for the player to trade Hell Bell away, despite the fact it was traded to them to begin with, implying Hell Bell can force itself to not be sent away. It could also return from being released, though this is less noteworthy.
- Mind Manipulation: Hell Bell and its trainer are unaffected by its own ringing, which causes people to only be able to say the phrase “RING THE BELL” and even works on people in the real world.
- Erasure/Data Manipulation: Despite the DS’ battery running out and forcefully ending the game, the end of the story clearly implies Hell Bell and its trainer survived and are somewhere out there.
- Sealing [Debatable]: Could leave its own Pokeball to escape the player’s party.
BRVR
- Fire Manipulation: During his time at the Veridian Forest, it was specifically stated that he was unfazed by the fire.
- Poison: When asked if he had his rabies shot (heh) he responded saying he couldn't get sick while eating a pretty much putrid Magikarp.
- Soul Manipulation: Well, he doesn't have a soul to begin with, so there's nothing to be taken or manipulated.
- Data Manipulation: Funny enough, same reason as above, he doesn't even have a file when someone tried to erase it, so yeah.
- Erasure, Information level: its simple, as stated in his immortality section he has come back from pretty much any level of erasure, this counts being erased from time as if he was never born.
- Acausality: It comes with coming back from being erased from time, pretty nifty.
- Mind Manipulation: its stated that every Pokemon in the game is coded to not be sentient, even if they die and come back its still the same, meaning that BRVR was able to break free from that, the game not being able to mess with his mind after dying and coming back, and even if you wanted to argue that this is only sentience, it also makes the Pokemon unaware of what's going on and act like if nothing is happening, so yeah, its pretty much mind control.
- BFR: Due to being coded into the world he quite literally cannot leave it, he tried, a lot, he really wants to fucking leave the game, but he can't.
- Sealing: When asked if he's uncatchable, he responded that yeah, he can't be caught due to being coded in a different way than normal Pokemon games.
Gonna break the bullet line real quick to say, due to this, it is fair to believe that other stuff from the normal Pokemon games would also not work on BRVR like status effects (only up to gen 3).
This means he would be unaffected by:
BurnFreeze
Paralysis
Poison
Sleep
Ghost
Pokemon Teams/Allies/Forms
Buried Alive
Muk
A level 94 Muk, and Buried Alive's first pokemon, seemingly representing the poisonous sludge which comes out of a person when they die, Buried Alive’s Muk is nothing to be messed with, used as a Debuffer and Poison staller, Muk knows a couple moves, like Acid armor to increase its defence and poison any attacker, Harden to continue to increase its defence to stall anyone out who may try to take it down, it knows Screech to slow down any opponent who tries to keep themselves standing, and finally it knows Sludge to poison the opponent, and leave them weak for the next pokemon to take out…
Gengar
A level 90 Gengar, also known as Buried Alive’s main attacker, he's sort of an annoying bastard in the regard that he just does, a TON of damage, he knows Dream eater, and presumably Hypnosis to go with it to keep pokemon down for awhile allowing for preparation, he knows Night Shade to deal with any pesky psychic types or mewtwos who may be around, and he also knows Confuse Ray to confuse the opponent and make them attack themselves or not attack at all… Which leads up to the final two pokemon which he has…
White Hands
Two level 101 White Hands, these pokemon aren’t really pokemon persay? But rather just Hands, they can be pretty difficult to deal with considering they have 5 moves in total rather than the usual 4, they know Transform allowing them to copy both the stats, and the abilities of their opponents, they also know Metronome, allowing them to use any singular move in the entire game, although random this could result in massive damage, like Psychic, probably one of the strongest gen one moves, which deals MASSIVE damage to anything hit by it, they also know Mega punch, a powerful move which oneshots basically anything hit by it, and finally they know the move Brutal, a move specific to White Hand only, which completely bypasses durability, or HP itself to kill you outright.
Steven
Miki
Stevens' beloved charizard, Miki. Miki is one tough son of a gun, she’s pretty damn strong, and for a matter of fact pretty interesting physically, she’s able to grow and evolve at speeds never seen by any other person, and after her death and fusion with MissingNo along with Steven, she should have similar physiological traits. She’s been shown to completely ignore any damage dealt to her, and due to her fusion was split across multiple Pokemon, allowing her to keep coming back regardless of if she were to faint or not originally.
She knows the move Strangle which allows her to instantly kill any pokemon without effort, she also knows a buffed version of Scratch, allowing her to deal basically an infinite amount of damage to the opponent, killing them instantly, and her most special move, Hell Fire, a flame so potent any pokemon hit with it is sure to die, with absolutely no exception
MissingNo
Steven’s strongest pokemon, this thing aptly named MissingNo, MissingNo is a sort of glitch in the Matrix, a broken line of code in their universe, it breaks the laws of nature, allowing it to bring people back to life at the cost of fusing people into itself, as such of its nature, its also shown a weird sort of fate manipulation.
Talking about its physiology is also important, after fusing with Miki and Steven, both traces of them were erased from history itself, the information which they had stopped existing, its a void in reality, it manipulates time itself in its entirety, allowing it to do basically anything and everything as long as it exists.
But something weird about this thing is its passive, looking at MissingNo causes you to see something… something awful which i’ve dubbed, The Truth. its, well… the truth. MissingNo is able to force you to see the Truth as long as you look at it directly, and once you have there's no turning back, The Truth is the Truth of reality, that everything is a game, flooding your mind with a practical, infinity, to be blunt, it shows you things across both Pokemon and Reality, showing you things which both do and do not exist.
Pikachu
A level 255 Pikachu which exists within Stevens little hell dimension, its face is sad as if it doesn’t want to be here, but will fight on behalf of Steven if said, it knows a couple moves like Curse, allowing it to buff its stats at the cost of some hp, it also knows Flail, which doesn’t really do much, it also knows things like Mean look allowing it to lower the opponents defence, it also knows stuff like Destiny bond, allowing it to force anyone who kills it to kill itself, which would be the case if it actually didn’t die when attacked, and instead simply just ignored death, this Destiny bond also seems to act as a sort of erasure to anything which falls for the attack, and if it really needs to take down an opponent, it’ll use Frustration, a move which does a shitton of damage, taking down basically anything that gets hit by it.
Unown King
Belial/Lucifer
Might seem like a weird inclusion, but yes, the Unown King is helped by Lucifer himself, otherwise known as Belial in the story. The start of the Unown King story starts with our protagonist being given a set of instructions to release the Unown King, with it being revealed to have been the work of a man dressed in black who wanted the protagonist to release the Unown King. The Unown King story doesn’t give us much more than claiming this was the work of a Satanist, but thanks to “Satanic Lavender Town,” we know this man dressed in black was actually Lucifer himself. Given Lucifer actively helps the Unown King the whole time, actively guiding the protagonist to releasing him, it should be fair to have him as support. its also worth mentioning that Lucifer directly admits he couldn’t have doomed the human race without the player releasing the Unown King, obviously pointing towards the fact he’s far physically stronger (and he should share general resistances too given he’s also pretty explicitly demonic in nature).
Pokemon
Note that while we know he has a full team of 6, we never see any beyond the first one.
- Houndoom: A Level 100 Houndoom capable of one-shotting any opposing monster with Guillotine (which always seems to land), possibly burn foes with the Fire-Type Flame Wheel, or bypass conventional durability to deal direct damage equivalent to its own level with Night Shade.
Abilities
- Reality Warping: He can freely control the world to add entire secret areas to a player’s game, seal off exits to trap them inside (the ROM hack shows light is still passing through, implying its more of an invisible barrier), and even get rid of areas altogether.
- Sound Manipulation: Made the Lavender Town music keep playing even within a cave beyond the scope of the rest of the game.
- Temperature Manipulation/Mist Creation: He can fill entire rooms with mist, making it extremely hard to see, though more notably, he can make mist manifest in the player’s room in the real world, making them feel cold, and even make shivers run down their spine till they go pale.
- Dream Manipulation: After defeating the player, he made them dream of the torture he was inflicting to souls he’d captured every night.
- Selective Intangibility: In the ROM hack, he makes a specific wall able to be phased through to lead into his secret path, and he can obviously undo this whenever he wants.
- Power & Item Usage Nullification: To prevent the player from escaping once trapped in his cave, he could negate their ability to reset the emulator they were playing on and even stop them from opening up their backpack, thus preventing them from using any sort of items.
- Erasure/Code Manipulation & Probability Manipulation: At the end of the story, after defeating the player, Belial could not only crash the game, but then erase the save file altogether. He could also (as previously mentioned) erase entire sections of the game he created and even make a Houndoom learn moves it cannot learn in the game itself. Notably, he seems to be capable of altering the move’s accuracy, as his Houndoom’s Guillotine NEVER misses, and this could possibly be applied to other luck-based mechanics in Pokemon.
- Soul Manipulation/Battlefield Removal: His encounter with the player literally starts with him claiming he wants their soul, and he can certainly get his way, as those defeated by him damned their souls to being taken to Hell by him, where he could endlessly torture them.
- Immersion: Since we blatantly know he was the one who left the instructions for freeing the Unown King, this would mean he traveled to the real world and left the game copy and instructions at the player’s home.
Hell Bell
Beelze
Hell Bell’s original trainer and also pretty blatantly the Beelzebub. He is a manipulative schemer, leading the player to Lost Tower and forcing her to sign a contract to take ownership of her soul, something he’s implied to have done plenty of times before. Given he’s quite literally the owner of Hell Bell, it makes sense he’d be here.
Arsenal
- Cherish Ball: The Pokeball he caught Hell Bell in; he presumably has more to capture other Pokemon in, but we don’t really know.
- Trainer Cards: Part of a trainer card that pops up on the screen to let the player write their name onto it via touch pad, despite the game not even being programmed to recognize handwriting. Its effects are covered below.
Abilities
- Blood Manipulation: Turned a bunch of ink into bright red blood as the player was signing a contract.
- Code Manipulation/Creation: its implied he created Hell Bell, a Pokemon with hacked stats unavailable in the regular game and later created a massive area within the game containing a transparent platform, stairs, and passages surrounded by pools of lava. He could also control the game’s mechanics to such an extent he created entirely new functions the game didn’t have before, like recognizing hand writing and blowing on the mic, before turning the in-game trainer sprite into one identical to what the player looks like. Earlier in the story, he’s even shown having access to widespread features like the Global Trading Center, which obviously exists across the world.
- Information Gathering: He’s shown having supernatural knowledge on the person playing the game, such as what their real name is, when they’re inputting a fake name, and even their exact appearance at that very moment.
- Technology/Electricity Manipulation: At the end of the story, he caused the DS they were on to run out of battery and turn off, which is very rude all things considered.
- Mind Manipulation: The protagonist was incapable of even having the thought to not do what Beelze said, literally being described as her not being allowed to.
- Soul Stealing/Sleep, Biological & Fear Manipulation: Upon the signing of a contract and Hell Bell utilizing IMPRISONMENT, a person will now “belong” to Beelze, allowing him to take their very soul. This has severe detrimental effects on the person, such as causing them to always be hungry and thirsty, stopping them from sleeping, and causing everyone around the person to avoid them as if they could feel the shadow of death passing by them.
BRVR
Skye
A human who committed suicide and ended up possessing the body of a Shymin, Skye isn't really the fighthing type, she doesn't like conflict and never, literally NEVER threw a punch, and that's why she's the closest Pokepasta to BRVR, both have a bond that can be described as brotherly and are pretty much there for each other when they need it, so its not crazy to say she's support.
With that out of the way, She has quite some interesting abilities, which are:
- Corruption/Time Manipulation: when booting up the game, the protagonist saw that the current save file and was forced to use a past one.
- Erasure/Creation: Made every member of the protagonist team to disappear and be swapped with a Dusknoir, she also made almost every item disappear, but also left a single escape rope and a PokeBall, and even deleted the savefile.
- Power Null/Erasing Moves: The Dusknoir she gave, even if level 100, did not have any move except “Follow Me”.
- Probability Manipulation: Rigged the chances of getting caught, and also made Judgement, a move with 100% accuracy, miss.
- Pokemon Moves: Skye actually has her own set of moves (I will be using the descriptions) which are:
- Fly: The user soars, then strikes on the second turn. It can also be used for flying to any familiar town.
- Scary Face: The user frightens the foe with a scary face to sharply reduce its Speed stat.
- Fake Tears: The user feigns crying to make the foe feel flustered, sharply lowering its Sp. Def stat.
- Spite: The user looses its grudge on the move last used by the foe by cutting 4 PP from it.
- Natural Cure: When she turned into a Shymin she also won an ability alongside the moves, Natural Cure lets her heal all status problems upon being switched out.
- Immortality: Even if she “fainted” she could keep fighting.
- Possession: While being a ghost, she possessed the Pokemon game.
Equipment
- Escape Rope: Yikes… uhm, she has an Escape Rope given by the protagonist, even though she, y'know, killed herself with a rope… yeah… anyways, Escape Rope lets you leave places easily.
“Myra” the Squirtle
The strongest Ally BRVR has, “Myra” is basically BRVR's right hand, respecting him, it also adds up that in her own AskBlog (yeah) when asked if she would ever get a “partner”, she answered that she would probably have a Pikachu, so it all adds up. (Also this image exists)
“Myra” is quite the powerhouse and a very hax-y person, she has a lot to cover so lets get right in:
- Fate/Probability manipulation: One of the strongest things Myra has going on and one of the main points of the story, its shown that Squirtle was fated to be “Myra”, when arriving the end of the story and in a effort to defeat her, the protagonist reset the game, only to see that Myra rigged the thing again, even stating how it was “merely a formality” when asked about save states, meaning that even if the save states were messed with, nothing would have changed.
- Immortality: Not really that surprising due to the state she's in, Myra is an undead, which gives her some perks in Immortality and pain endurance (after all she's really messed up), but not only that, due to the game she comes from she has ways of coming back to life, being comparable to “Myra” the Vulpix (its confusing) and Shadow, who after taking enough damage their body disappear and respawn, due to what its going to be explained in the next point, she can come back from stuff like being erased from time, plot and even have her fate corrupted. Something to add is that due to her immortality she can straight up will her way out of stuff, like as mentioned, almost being erased from existence. Even if we see more physical means, she was even dissolved by acid.
- Non-Existent Physiology: To make things clear, Myra, the Squirtle, isn't really… Myra per say, or well she was before the protagonist decided she didn't like Squirtle and wanted a Vulpix, what looks like a simple change actually meant making S!Myra (Squirtle Myra for short to avoid confusion from now on) not meant to exist AT ALL, in fact, its to such a point of non-existence that, I kid you not, and this will be something discussed in BTV, she was being erased from both TIME AND PLOT, not only taking her out of the story, but also making it so she was never even BORN, in fact, its even stated that her own fate was affected, I mean, fuck, we even see that items that belonged to her in the first place stoped existing.
- Self-Sustenance: Due to being an undead, she doesn't really need to eat or drink.
- Reality Warping: Myra is shown to have control over her world, to the point of possibly being able to restart it, even showed to be able to stop the DS from being turned off (consistent with the remake), it can even reach the actual real life, giving the protagonist a chain on her neck that cut off her oxygen, even locking all her doors, making her parents disappear, and change the density of glass to make her bounce on it instead of breaking it.
- Forced Movement: Myra was able to force the player to look at the screen, even making her unable to throw the game away.
- Necromancy: One of the main things she does is raise the dead to help her fight, its just straight up mentioned she did it.
- Pain Manipulation: Shadow electrocuted the protagonist through the game when hitting V!Myra, although this is something Shadow did, S!Myra did the same thing right after.
- Illusions/Electricity Manipulation: She was able to fake an entire new save file for the protagonist to think everything was finally over, only to show up in real life and shock her.
- Power Sense: She was able to sense V!Myra was in the dungeon.
- Sleep Manipulation: Made the protagonist unable to fall asleep.
- Water/Wind Manipulation: its said that in her world neither wind nor water could flow.
- Time Manipulation: Grovyle, yes, THE Grovyle, stated that S!Myra went back in time multiple times.
- Unborn: Due to a lack of actual name, I decided to call this “Unborn”, what it does is that S!Myra sends you to the Unborn Void, once there you are forced to fight “the Unborns”, if you kill one of the Unborns it gets erased, same case if you die, but it has been shown they can just come back, the dangerous part of this is that if you die by the hands of S!Myra you WILL get turned into a Unborn, which leaves you power nulled, connected to a collective mind, non-sentient and most important of all, sealed outside of the plot as a whole, which leads to…
- Place Taker: Again due to lack of a name, I made it up. S!Myra has been shown to be able to take your spot in the plot and across any iteration, making you inaccessible, irrelevant to the plot, and any trace of you being swapped with that of S!Myra. Even if you somehow tried to come back by force or external means, the world itself will take you back outside of the plot, since S!Myra is now taking your place, therefore you can't exist. Obviously I will discuss this further in BTV.
- Immortality Negation: As shown above, she was able to kill off both V!Myra and Shadow without them being able to come back like it was stated, keeping them in the Unborn dimension.
- Power Null: The protagonist stated that she couldn't move, run or fight at all, just stand there watching S!Myra.
- Mind Manipulation: Although not that useful in a casual scenario, she can influence those who are connected to her.
- Pokemon Moves: She's a Pokemon, so clearly she has some Pokemon moves, which are;
- Guillotine: A 1H-KO move with a 30% chance of landing, it instantly one shots the enemy.
- Skull Bash: A 2 turn move, the Pokemon first charges up the attack raising the defense by one level, then lands the hit.
- Bite: As the name implies the Pokemon bites the enemy, it has a 30% chance of making the enemy flinch.
- Hydro Pump: The Pokemon shoots a high volume of pressurized water to the enemy for a strong hit.
- Torrent: She also comes with an ability which basically boosts all her water attacks when her life is low.
- Non-Physical Interaction: The Unborn don't exist and V!Myra was still able to hit them, should be the same case for S!Myra.
Arsenal
- Knife: Her main weapon is a simple knife that she uses to cut Pokemon, even cutting Shadow in half, pretty nifty.
- The Relic Fragment: It has been shown that S!Myra possibly could have access to this if she gets a partner, but we don't really know what it can do, at least in this story, it is only said that even its power would not be enough to revert the damage S!Myra did.
- Blast Seed: Upon consuming it, it makes you breathe high-damage fire into the enemy.
- Warp Seed: When thrown to someone it warps them away, but its always at a distance that isn't too far given how the Keckleon was still on the floor.
- Violent Seed: Boosts the attack and special attack of the person that consumes it.
- Max Elixir and Grimy Food: The Max Elixir is merely just mentioned, but we already know it can restore the PP of a move, meanwhile Grimy Food fills your belly at the cost of a random status ailment, when used against a Keckleon it paralyzed it and also slowed it down.
Resistances
- Existence Erasure/Time Erasure/Plot Erasure/Fate Manipulation/Mind Manipulation/Immortality Negation/Power Null/Sealing, some of these possibly Layered: HOLY FUCK. ok so I could have made this all separate things, but truth be told, it all comes from the same fucking feat, so this was the easiest way to tackle it. S!Myra when the story merely begins got replaced by V!Myra, her world, story, mere existence stopping to exist as a whole, she's not meant to exist, and she is yanked back to the Unborn Void, thing is, her anger, sadness, everything she is, she did not want to disappear, this was HER story, HER world, HER fate, and she wouldn't let someone else take it from her, you probably noticed the chains she has in her body, those chains are part of being an Unborn, tied to her body to keep her down, but nearing the end of the story, S!Myra herself through sheer anger and literally FORCE OF WILL broke off the chains, meaning she quite literally broke off the effects that come with being an Unborn and getting Unborned, it even adds up to this that S!Myra herself (and the creator) explains that she clinged to life through said will to exist, breaking her body in the process but still surviving. Also the reason why I said layered its mostly to be sealing, given how when V!Myra was there she got saved by Shadow breaking into the Unborn Void and getting her out, but once both became unborn they weren't able to do it again.
- Acausality: It comes with coming back from time erasure lmao, she was also able to bring stuff from the future to the past without any consequences.
- Purification/Soul Manipulation: its said that those who die and get surrounded by the yellow shine get their soul freed, yet she is constantly covered by it and never gets affected.
- Possible Emphatic Manipulation: When V!Myra fought a Teddiursa with fake tears it made her cry but was still able to fight just fine.
Summons
If it wasn't enough, thanks to her necromancy she can command a lot of undead pokemon to aid her out, there's a bunch of them but I will only be mentioning those that used moves since all of them are fodder.
- Zubat and a Koffing: While the Zubat didn't show anything, the Koffing used Poison Gas which has a 55% chance of hitting the target and can give the poison status effect.
- Vigoroth: A zombie Vigoroth which was able to use Scratch, which doesn't really do anything special.
- Teddiursa: This one could use Fake Tears, which lowers the enemy's special defense by two, it also made V!Myra cry, but was still able to fight.
- Seedot: Seedot does nothing special I just wanted to mention It since it just fucking kills itself.
- Marill: A pretty normal Marill (if we ignore that face) which has Tackle, which is just a normal move, but using it boosts Its attack.
- Spinda, Wynaut and Wobbuffet: While the first two didn't show anything worth mentioning, the Wobbuffet used Destiny Bond, which basically kills you if you kill it while the effect is still up.
- Tangela, Heracross and Mr. Mime: Again, the first two didn't get to show much, but the Mr. Mime used Confusion, a psychic type move that has a 10% chance to induce the confusion status on the Pokemon that got hit by it, which then has a 50% chance of attacking themselves each turn.
- Ledyba, Togepi and Politoad: Y'know the deal, first two are fodder, what matters is the Politoad who was able to use both Perish Song and Hypnosis, Perish Song makes every Pokemon in the field to die in 3 turns, meanwhile Hypnosis puts your enemy to sleep.
- Camerupt, Ponyta and Bellsprout: Surprisingly the important one here is Camerupt, who was able to use Magnitude, Magnitude makes the user do a ground shaking attack that can vary in power from 1 to 10.
- Arbok, Weavile and Drapion: While not a move, Weavile had the ability pressure, which forces the enemy to use 1 extra PP when using a move, making them get tired faster.
- Grovyle the time traveler dude: Does nothing and fucking dies.
- The Unborn: Already talked all I had to talk about the Unborns, they don't really have moves (the only move mentioned was scratch) and only deal 1 damage, but they WILL jump your ass.
Ghost
No one LMAOOOO
Ditched Its own trainer by the end of the pasta so realistically the player wouldn't count as an ally, nor any Pokemon the player could have caught during the adventure.

Unown King
Overall
- An absolute icon of Pokemon creepypastas.
- Wiped out the human and Pokemon races.
- Good friends with Lucifer (presumably).
- Killed the various MissingNo, the three legendary birds, the three legendary dogs, Ho-Oh and Lugia, Celebi, Mew, Mewtwo- you get it.
- Awakened through a ritual sacrificing multiple legendary Pokemon.

- Wiped the protagonist’s Pokemon with ease.
- One-shot the trainer with Bite.
- Comparable to Lucifer, who filled a cave with mist and water (1.006 Kilotons of TNT)

Speed
- Took out the protagonist’s Pokemon in little time.
- Attacked the trainer before they could even move.
- Fully traversed all of Kanto and Johto, killing not just every individual human, but every Pokemon in every patch of grass and even the ocean between the two regions. its even noted to have wiped out every living thing in the game and possibly all of humanity (3.178% c - 82.423 c)
- This isn’t a result of the Unown King’s erasure, as the protagonist’s phone call with their mom (linked above) establishes it was physically traveling towards every individual to kill them one by one.
Durability
- Never took damage from its entire rampage across the world, implying none of the Pokemon could scratch him/land a hit on it.

Speed
- Man this is kinda depressing, uh… yeah It doesn't have speed feats either, while It did kill everyone, that took It years, so its not even usable.
Durability
- I guess you can't have durability feats if everyone is so scared to hit you huh.
Scaling
Buried Alive
MissingNo and Ghost
Buried is seemingly at the top of the tower for a reason, while there's no reason to believe that he’s physically at these two’s level, people CAN harm them, and have shown the ability to actually hurt these Pokemon, and in MissingNo’s case actually being able to physically interact with MissingNo, Buried has also shown similar capabilities to these two with WHITE HAND, forcing the player to reload the game itself due to a unpassable Game Over.
- MissingNo corrupts/shifts the entire WORLD (0.013c - 0.016c / 24 Exatons of Tnt)[See Before Verdict]
- Attacking the ghosts crashes the game
Steven
Nothing
Strangling your brother probably isn’t the best for pokemon scaling.
Unown King
Nothing
No one can compare to the king.
Hell Bell
Nothing
No one can compare to the… bell?
BRVR
Pokepastas from the AskBlog
BRVR is basically stated to be comparable if not stronger than Shelly and by default the rest, he's even able to harm them and called some weak in the past, so scaling is pretty much straight forward.
- Shelly fucking decapitated a Raticate.
- Shelly was able to physically kill every Pokemon in the region in seconds.
- They did the same with every trainer too, and even somehow killed the ones inside the Pokeballs. (Unusable; Likely Hax)
- Shelly PUSHED everything into a single piece so the protagonist didn't have to walk around anymore. (32 Kilotons of TNT)
- Considering Shelly's game was HeartGold, and how it affected the whole game, we could theorize it also affected Kanto, making it two whole regions.
- Shelly fucking erased everything.
- S!Myra's whole existence decayed the world and was going to destroy it. (Planet)
- Shadow broke the Unborn Void like glass. (Unusable; Likely Hax)
- S!Myra was able to cut Shadow so fast his body didn't separate until he fell.
- Shadow was able to attack at “lightning speed”.
- S!Myra coming back in time created a whole new timeline. (Unusable)
Ghost
You already know the deal by now
Look, as much as I would love to say that Ghost scales to everything in Gen 1, I literally cannot do it, we have a reason as to why we aren't scaling anyone to the actual pokemon games (See BTV), and Ghost is no exception since it would be bias if we just included it, so yeah, no scaling for Ghost.
Weaknesses
Buried Alive
Buried Alive has a couple glaring weaknesses which put him apart of the rest, the most obvious being that Buried Alive is directly tied to the game itself, he doesn’t have any dohickies or curses which can bring him out of the game, while something like Lavender Town Syndrome could affect people outside the game, and he could technically live the Cartridge being destroyed, it just would put him out of the fight directly.
In game he’s also got a pretty weird Weakness, that being the fact the guy fucking HATES the light, doesn’t matter how many people are out or how hungry it is, if its bright out Buried Alive just wont leave its home unless one of its proxies does it first.
Speaking of its Proxies, while Buried Alive can definitely cultivate an army pretty damn quickly, they aren’t all going to be able to get to a specific point quickly, although they can move pretty fast we aren’t going to see a tidal wave of these guys for a bit.
Steven
Stevens has some minor weaknesses, although nothing that’ll actually bring an end to him fully. Firstly he’s really easy to rage bait, this is the same guy who swore on his soul that he’d kill the player when they beat him ONCE.
Also he's like a massive doomer, he really believes that nothing is worth it when he lost Miki, he believed that everything was completely lost and that he should just give up, but he continues anyways.
Unown King
To be frank, the Unown King lacks any sort of exploitable weaknesses outside of potentially being vulnerable to being turned into a statue, though we don’t really know how it ended up like this, so its not super concrete. Besides this, while it evidently has intelligence, its still generally portrayed as a beast that relies on brute strength, which might be exploitable by a smart enough opponent, though the support it gets from Lucifer can circumvent this.
Hell Bell
Hell Bell has a wide array of dangerous powers, but its main drawback is that it lacks the tools for a direct fight, and very much relies on the contracts, mind control, and possible erasure to deal with an opponent. We never see it utilize actual offensive moves, and it's never really gotten into a direct scuffle, so if an opponent can cut through its tricks, it's kind of a sitting duck.
BRVR
BRVR doesn't have a lot of notable weaknesses, but there is SOMETHING that is kinda needed to be addressed, and its that BRVR's biggest wish is to be DEAD, yeah, he said it multiple times, he really doesn't want to exist, he does self harm, tried every way to kill himself, even asked the very own viewer to PLEASE kill him, but that doesn't mean he can't fight, its more like a “going out on my own terms” kinda deal, aside from that, he's kinda emotional, but that's about it.
Ghost
I'm going to go straight to the point, Ghost is level 1, like, throughout the creepypasta its basically shown that it doesn't even level up or get any experience from killing the pokemon or winning fights, resulting in it being level 1 by the end of the story, and while yes, the ROM hack does give it the ability to level up, its still very much a contradiction due to how, to make the game work, Ghost kinda HAS to be able to level up in the ROM hack.
Before The Verdict
Everyone
Where's the Pokemon scaling?
Obviously, this is something which kinda has to be addressed, considering a lot of these Pastas are vehemently saying that they’re apart of the game, or real pieces of Pokemon media, that’s what an Unfiction is afterall, but that's where this ends, the issue with using game scaling for these characters (or any creepypastas, looking at you Sonic.exe) Doesn’t add up.
These games come from a fictionalized version of themselves, with madeup moves, madeup lore. And madeup stats. We could go on and on about how these characters technically exist within these games, but there isn’t any proof of these characters doing things which they can do in game, or for both Buried Alives, Hell Bell, and Stevens case, having no reference for what stats mean, a Charmelion evolving into a Charizard at level 15 is something completely impossible and something which is hard coded into the game to NEVER happen, there is no such thing as a White Hand in pokemon red blue OR green, Lavender town syndrome doesn’t exist, Hell Bell having all stats around 666 doesn’t mean anything because that doesn’t exist in game.
These games are fictional within their FICTIONAL stories, and therefore there is no way to argue that they should have these kind of scaling chains or threads, so for fairness sake to everyone, we won't be using scaling to Pokemon for ANYONE, all Pokemon will be considered featless unless specified otherwise.
So about cross scaling
Probably an obvious BTV but something we wanted to touch up on, this is more so about how most of these pastas overlap or interconnect, things like Steven knowing about BRVR and basically half of the cast for some reason, and Unown king killing Ghost and MissingNo, who intern would be killing Steven, so like, what's up with that?
Well, as you probably know where this is going, we’re just going to be assuming that any instance of another character appearing in another piece of media will NOT be the ones we’re using here specifically, the same goes for Steven, so while the guy knows about BRVR and the others, its not like he’s gonna know their stories, or their abilities, so unless some third Unownfactor comes out like all these stories are made by one HUGE PokePasta fan there most likely won't be any cross scaling used here.
Buried Alive
That one MissingNo feat
Ah yes, the amazing and very much nonsensical 24 Exaton feat, but all things considered, it should be something which Buried should scale to, keep in mind that there is no chain of scale where this mod took place, and the energy of shifting the entire world around is something which MissingNo does, its a sort of passive of its glitchy nature, we can consider its speed something which can be scalable due to something like the ground texture actively moving during the first corruption, and considering it travels across the players body when MissingNo tells it to, it should be scalable speed wise as well, considering our player character can react to it, Buried Alive, who is easily stronger and faster than them should also be able to scale speed wise as well.
Of course there's always the issue of stats, while a little weird, its somewhat safe to say that Buried, or at least White Hand should be able to scale to it, consider the fact that Ghost is able to transform into both MissingNo and Buried, or at least harness the glitchy nature of MissingNo means that Buried should be able to scale to this, Physically. Not Aoe wise, this mostly is just a durability thing for Buried so he probably shouldn’t be able to punch continents away, but he can take such damage.
Steven
Infinite speed Steven…!
This BTV is about the whole MissingNo blasts your brain with all the information in the universe, and how this would even work in a vs setting, the difficult part isn’t actually the feat itself because well… its pretty arguable?? For example, multiple characters in the Strangled Red remake are able to comprehend and actively learn of the information MissingNo blasts them with, even though it usually leaves them scarred for life and vomiting up blood, they can comprehend the information given to them, and they can recall this information, for example Mick was able to see the information given by MissingNo, and then apply it to the backroom where he regurgitated that information into a physical context, so we can very clearly see people understand the information given, but… well where would this even land?
Like obviously this could range somewhere in the MFTL speeds to, well, literally anything else, and to understand that we have to understand what the Truth is actually showing a person, and that is every singular piece of information in relation to their universe, and the very information that spread it. To us something like Pikachu is a real thing, we know what a Pikablu is because it was the original name given to Maril before we knew what it was, we also know what the other things shown to the characters who interact with MissingNo are, stuff like Brvr, who is in this very blog, Buried alive, Ghost, hell even SONIC.EXE, it is every single piece of information surrounding Pokemon, surrounding Creepypastas, basically anything and everything, hell its described as showing things which used to exist but don't anymore, which would be an astounding and nigh-incalculable amount of information being given to a person in a set timeframe; the Protagonist is literally described as knowing “ALL”, quite literally everything was learned. Said evidence shown doesn’t fully justify giving Steven MFTL speed, if it weren’t for the fact that Steven is able to react during this mind blast; in the original Mythos after capturing MissingNo he wasn’t ever stopped, and continued working while being mind crushed, so he could not only comprehend this information but move during it as well, meaning more likely, Steven should be able to react at MFTL speeds.
What Is Up With Steven’s Physiology
Goodness, guess we gotta talk about this slop, what even IS Steven? And to answer that things are kinda complicated, Steven is a trainer who had Merged with MissingNo, we know this due to the item he drops upon being defeated, this glitch item allows your own pokemon to fuse with MissingNo, giving it insane stats at the drawback of becoming whatever Steven/Miki is.
Now lets get onto the actual Physiology which encompasses Steven and his character itself, as we’ve explained Steven became an event which never happened, taken away from history itself, because of that Steven is completely and utterly unable to be detected at all, actually, this is consistent because while Tech can’t detect him, Pokemon are also completely unable to see or interact with the dude.
In a deeper sense, due to being fused with MissingNo, Steven is able to manipulate the laws of Nature itself, by resurrecting people in a twisted or broken state, but above all else, and something which is far more important, is what MissingNo is, MissingNo is all of time, it is regarded as literally everything across time, its a void in reality which exists within spaces which do and do not exist, which is how its able to show people the truth, and also how it erased both Miki, and Steven from history, smearing them from reality.
Unown King
Nothing
Just a straightforward guy…
BRVR
Fucking, NONDUALITY BRVR WHAT
So… this one is kinda hard for me to explain because I'm a chud with little to no knowledge, but to get it simple, nonduality is when there's something outside of the “yes” and “no”, or to put it simple, imagine binary code, 1s and 0s, well, the individual with nonduality would be a 2.
This kinda matches what happens with BRVR, but it is kinda weird, you see, he is basically a code character, but at the same time his code doesn't really exist at all, meaning he's in some sort of half/half limbo, you could argue that he's the code of the game, but not really, he's just essential to the game, hard-coded into it, and hard-coding implies BRVR has any sort of data or info, which he doesn't.
This whole game = person connection is kinda strengthened with the fact that when he changed, so did the game, hinting that they are connected in some sense, even more so how he was unable to leave the game, he's essential for it, but at the same time he doesn't exist in it, in fact as mentioned before, if other Pikachu would have to appear, the game itself would not recognize BRVR as Pikachu, taking in mind Pikachu is very much the main center of Pokemon Channel.
So what does this mean? Honestly idk, so I'm gonna tag in Lain to give her opinion.
Howdy! Lain here, and while this argument is pretty good it doesn’t perfectly fall in line with the specifics of Non-Duality, Non-Duality is defined as a single single, indivisible whole, rather than a collection of separate entities, while its arguable that BRVR would qualify for TRANS-Duality, Non-Duality doesn’t quite fall in line with what it is described as.
As for Trans-Duality, it itself probably isn’t the best descriptor either, what's more likely is that BRVR exists in a sort of limbo state, where it both does and doesn’t exist, think of it as a matter, half liquid and half solid, but one side of the cube doesn’t exist while the other does, these two can both co-(sorta)exist as the same cube, on just exists beyond our understanding.
Is BRVR a fucking LIAR!?
Something that might be good to mention is the inconsistency between what BRVR can do and what he says he can do, he actively believes that deleting his savefile would kill him and how he can't reach said files… but that's just a fucking lie, you see, everything he said was his limit was showed again and again that he's just objectively wrong, he survived getting his savefile erased and he's even able to erase them, even in official art this is shown!
So… what does this really mean? Well, I don't think calling him a liar is fair, I think the best way to describe it is him not really being aware of his full potential, which makes sense.
That one Shelly feat
This one is rather simple to explain… Most of us know Shelly physically ran to kill everyone, its even evident by how there were corpses and blood, meaning this wasn't done with some sort of erasure or anything like that, kinda straight forward.
Now the problem is how the fuck did they get in the PokeBalls???, like, we genuinely have evidence that it was done via running and killing everyone one by one, but also how did they get there, there's literally no showings of immersion or dimensional travel in the story, in fact Shelly is pretty much just a stats person, so… does this mean they ran so fast they got in the PokeBalls? I mean… maybe? its literally the only evidence we have and it all hints to it, the same scan shows how they walked away to do the job, so… yeah?....
Would this qualify for inf/immeas? No LMAO.
The other Shelly feat (the fuck they feeding these woopers)
So uh… yeah, this is quite a feat lmao, but yeah Shelly was able to do this, usually this feat wouldn't be counted since it becoming a glitchy mess means some sort of hax, but thanks to a little extra info from the AskBlog we know Shelly had to physically PUSH it, which means there was at least some sort of mass and strength in there, yeah.
WHAT THE FUCK IS THE DEAL WITH S!MYRA.
S!Myra… S!Myra… oh S!Myra… how much of a fucking headache this character is.
This whole section will be dedicated to basically sweep through most of the stuff that she has and needs clarification, starting with:
So the planet feat.
Surprisingly… this one actually has some good weight on it, you see, a big point of the story is that the world was ending because of the whole S!Myra and V!Myra mess, this is actually mentioned a lot, how it was shredding it apart, even stated that Grovyle the time traveler was sure it was gonna be destroyed.
This is pretty much S!Myra's fault, since she keeps latching onto her will to exist, her will so big that it was the mere reason why the planet wasn't INSTANTLY ERASED, even on a time level, keeping the world from resetting, I mean shit, in the AskBlog its even implied she MADE that world (tho this was said by V!Myra, who hates S!Myra, so not the best source).
Now a pretty good question would be “but how does she scale?” Well that is actually pretty easy to answer, S!Myra's will works on a physical level, for example her will to exist and leaving the Unborn Void connection mangled her body, but she was still alive, so given how exceeding her will does require physical prowess, then its very much safe to say she had to have the physical strength to hold the planet together from being fully destroyed. So yeah the planet feat is safe to use, making BRVR scale to planet.
“What about the timeline feat then? Wouldn't that work the same way?”
Good eye, but no, not necessarily, the timeline feat is done through changing the past, when S!Myra killed V!Myra on the beach with her knife, which created two timelines, being the past and the present, but that's as much as we know, so we can't really make it a usable feat.
The plot shaped elephant in the room and the implications of being Unborn.
So… plot huh, yeah this one is, although very much explicit and fair to use, also kinda weird, so I'll have to explain it here.
You see, the whole pasta remarks how V!Myra, when she came into existence, took away the protagonist spot of S!Myra, taking her story (literally), and basically forcing her to stop existing as a whole, even people meant to be with her, like for example Shadow, her partner, suddenly saw V!Myra as his real partner instead, and it got to a point items meant to be hers just stopped existing too.
As you saw before, S!Myra was able to cling to reality even after all this, so that's already proven, but now comes the big deal, how she took her spot back, this was done after she managed to kill V!Myra for good, after this, stuff related to V!Myra, like the starting screen, got changed to not having her anymore, even to the point that trying to select V!Myra as a partner for S!Myra was impossible, S!Myra showing up and clarifying, that V!Myra cannot be a hero, or a partner, that SHE was the real Myra now, but not only that, S!Myra also managed to do it in other games!... Tho I must say that when asked, the creator of the remake did state that they weren't sure what would have happened if the player forced Vulpix to be the protagonist in the new game, saying that MAYBE S!Myra would not have power there, and also that MAYBE the same thing would happen, but that is just a non canon what if made from a simple comment question which the creator themselves weren't really sure of how to respond, so its not really that usable as argument when everything else contradicts it.
Now that we know this, is there more evidence for plot stuff? Actually yeah, a lot of them actually, for example, its explained that if V!Myra would have been brought back by force, she would still be deleted by the plot itself, given how there can't be more than one “hero”, but not in a “oh there's only one hero to the story”, but in a “there can't be two of the same” way, in short words basically doing what I explained, taking her spot in a literal plot and existence level, being it impossible for there to be two Myras, or also how S!Myra explained that even if the plot could not continue due to the lack of a partner, she would still create her own story from scratch.
Now onto the second part of this, being an Unborn, its not pretty, you see, getting turned into an unborn basically turns you into someone outside of the story since they are the possible picks for a main character avatar, they are also connected to each other in a collective consciousness schtick, fully trapped and powerless in that void and finally being unable to come back even if tried to get inserted back into the plot, only this being doable if a force outside of the plot itself is used, and even then you will get instantly dragged back to the Unborn Void.
So that means if you got turned into a Unborns you would: get brainwashed and forced into a collective consciousness with no sentience, get sealed in a dimension outside of plot, unable to come back, even if you somehow did you would get dragged back instantly and getting put to your “you” version of before the story even started. Very fucked up.
“So what about the little vague posting you did on BRVR's immortality section?”
Glad you asked, its pretty straightforward actually, all that I just mentioned is fully useless against BRVR since S!Myra HERSELF stated that “none of her best tools would kill something that can rise from the dead without a scratch”, you could argue that maybe she's talking about her weapons, but literally her best tool in equipment IS THE KNIFE, so she's totally referring to her own abilities… so yeah BRVR is just busted like that I guess LMAO.
Ghost
What's the difference between this Ghost and the other Ghosts in different pokepasta stories?
The difference is that we are using SPECIFICALLY creepy black, because if we didn't Ghost would be the scaling demon mf gets kicked in the ass everytime a Pokepasta needs aura and hype moments.
So… about that immortality negation.
Yeah… so, it's not that deep to explain, but the whole “ignoring immortality” thing is kinda weird by itself, since the creepypasta implies Pokemon can't really die unless Ghost uses Curse which just bypasses the whole “fainted out” thing and straight up kills the Pokemon. On paper this sounds nice, but it's also worth mentioning that its extremely vague and could only mean that Pokemon just faint and that's about it; it’s not like Pokemon are INCAPABLE of dying in general since the pasta does mention the existence of other Ghost types which Ghost itself can't take care of, so… reasonably, it’s likely not really any form of immortality negation, it’s just able to get around this one specific game mechanic.
THE VERDICT
Alright and here it is… the Verdict for the Pokemon Creepypasta battle royale!
Pick one of the 6 fighters and pray to GOD you make it out of this alive…
Good luck.
6th Place: Ghost
"Those who preach about death are the fastest to fall to its grasp."
Yeah, unsurprisingly Ghost really doesn’t get far in this, while they’re very much a dangerous threat to most if not all Pokemon, these guys are just on another level entirely, while Ghost could theoretically get maybe one kill it's not something they’re usually going to be getting off due to a couple things… So lets go over what Ghost can do to everyone
Ghost vs Buried Alive: While on the Surface you could argue that Curse would be able to take out Buried, the fact is Ghost is almost never going to be able to get this off, while fear stalling or fate manipulation could help them slow Buried Alive, the issue is, Buried Alive just kinda resists that? Which is what you’ll be seeing for mostly everyone else, the Soul Stealing nature of Lavender Town Syndrome also means that BA would have very little issue of just, scooping Ghost up and stealing it, while Ghost just has no real way, especially when Ghost can be assimilated into a Buried with no way back, factoring in the stat gap and the whole having an entire planet wide army, there's no reason as to why Ghost would be able to take out Buried.
Ghost vs Steven: Steven is millions of times stronger while also being billions of times faster, the fact that he can just say no to damage as well as truth blasting Ghost means that literally nothing Ghost can do can allow a win, resisting ee or death manipulation shuts down curse so, uhm yeah…
Ghost vs Unown King: Not much to go over here which hasn’t already been brought up, stat-stomping, soul manipulation, in this case Lucifer can just send him to Hell. Ghost could theoretically kill Lucifer, but he’s too far away to do anything to him, and Ghost wouldn’t know they’d be doing anything, so Ghost just can't win here either.
Ghost vs Hell Bell: This one's actually really interesting for once, while Hell Bell has no resistances to both fear/death manipulation, it still leans in favor of Hell Bell due to one main thing, that thing being AOE. The fact that Hell Bell can both control your body or turn off abilities from afar and his big fuck you mind manipulation blast being sound-based means that Ghost has no reliable way to get close enough to pull off a Curse, and even if he did, the fact that Hell Bell can, again, ignore erasure means that it’d still live long enough to get off an attack which would kill Ghost. While Ghost’s fate manipulation could be good, there’s the main issue of it taking fucking forever to get off, which means that Hell Bell should be able to pull off similarly convoluted win-cons like its soul stealing far faster, taking down Ghost once and for all.
Ghost vs BRVR: okay do I even need to explain you get the fucking point.
Advantages:
- Possible Fate Manipulation I guess
Disadvantages:
- Weaker then literally everyone.
- Slower then literally everyone.
- Curse doesn’t do jack shit to literally anyone.
- Curse specifically is unable to affect ghost type pokemon.
- Or people who are plot important lmao.
- Fear Manipulation doesn’t do jack shit to anyone.
- Has no items so nothing to keep itself in the game.
- Would probably be the first to attack and the first to be targeted by literally everyone.
- Any soul manipulation is guaranteed to kill it.
- Any attack is able to kill it.
- You can literally push this thing over and it will die.
5th place: Hell Bell
"The Hell Bell lost its life, melting to the heat of what it once could call its residence, dragged down by hands that only knew hunger."
Next up is the king of hell himself, while Hell Bell is absolutely a force to be reckoned with, there's just not a lot to go over with the guy, considering he only has one story there's only so much one guy can have, and unluckily for him, he just doesn’t have enough in those stories, while he always has the superior AoE, he has, absolutely no speed, or strength to speak of.
Hell Bell vs Buried Alive: Mostly the same reason as Ghost, while both Hell Bell and Beelze are strong as hell, they don't actually have anything to truly take out Buried. The AOE of the bell’s chime would absolutely be helpful in taking out Buried… that would be if it weren’t completely useless. Considering the fact that Buried is able to withstand its own lavender town syndrome means that Hell Bell who has similar effects wouldn’t be able to use his usual tricks, Mind Manipulation, Soul Manipulation or Stealing are things Buried just passively survives just by his existence, while Hell Bell can’t like soul stealing or soul sealing, which leaves it open to an attack, if you apply Buried's scaling to what he does then he probably, or absolutely should be able to blitz and then shatter Hell Bell with ease.
Hell Bell vs Steven: Steven is pretty tricky to deal with and Hell Bell has nothing to live BFR, Sealing, or the Truth, which means that Hell Bell probably can’t take Steven down, considering Steven should be omnipresent across time means that Hell Bell probably can't kill Steven, as well as the fact that he can just make avatars or blast Hell Bell with stuff like Hells Fire which would absolutely kill the dude, Soul Stealing or Soul Manipulation should also just kinda kill Hell Bell, All things considered Hell Bell probably can’t win here.
Hell Bell vs Unown King: An issue which Hell Bell runs into too quickly is that Unown King passively manipulates music by turning it into Unown Radio. Hell Bell… needs sound to function, which means that Unown King is just a direct counter. Considering its stronger then Hell Bell, and Lucifer is just an amped Beelze with far more tricks and options to shut down Beelze’s own control over the game means that Hell Bell is just fighting a stronger version of itself, while on a crutch, while being millions of times slower. Unown being able to manipulate fate allows it to basically guarantee Hell Bell’s death. Beelze could get off a win with his mind manipulation and contracts, plus Hell Bell could possibly keep Unown King in place for a very brief time, but the main issue Beelze runs into is that Lucifer tends to use his powers like power nullification without even making an appearance himself, since we see at the end of the story that he literally resides down in Hell and can go to the real world, meaning he wouldn’t even need to be in the same dimensional plane as Beelze to remove his options for winning, especially since Beelze would need to set up options like his contract without being immediately blitzed by Unown King (which he can’t do) or having his soul dragged down to Hell by Lucifer, which acts quicker than Hell Bell’s own soul options, meaning that it’s always going to be outclassed, leaving it vulnerable for a swift kill.
Hell Bell vs BRVR: BRVR has a shitton of abilities which just kinda screw over both Beelze and Hell Bell, his physiology lets him avoid any soul stealing, and his immortality allows him to come back from any death he may sustain from Hell Bell, which is unlikely due to BRVR being both faster and stronger, Reality warping, Future Sight, Plot Removal, etc etc, there's just nothing Hell Bell can do which allows it to kill BRVR which BRVR hasn’t already survived before.
Advantages:
- AoE lets him outlive ghost
- A lot of abilities should allow it to take out stronger people…
Disadvantages:
- Weaker than everyone.
- … Most of these abilities are useless.
- Slower than everyone.
- Soul manipulation just kinda kills it.
- Mind manipulation kills it.
- Lacks a good amount of resistances to game enders.
- Has no options to get past the stronger people.
- Most good win options are countered before they get off.
4th place: Buried Alive
"Died as it lived, buried in a pile of itself."
With a hard fought fight Buried Alive crawls its way into 4th place, and it makes sense why, with its strong Assimilation it had options to take out the higher tiers, but there were a couple things holding this guy back, that being both strength and speed, due to the weirdness of the MissingNo feat, arguments were made and while Buried should be fine Speed wise, he’s still outclassed by the higher tiers, and greatly at that, Lavender town can only get him so far, and this is where his story comes to an end.
Buried Alive vs Steven: While Buried could theoretically turn Steven into a Buried, its not like he’s going to be turning literally everything in existence and across time into a Buried Men, which means he has no way to kill Steven, while Steven can just send Buried Alive into hell, while Buried has no way to counter that, Buried could crash the entire game and maybe force a stalemate, but Steven could just go back in time and then undo that, Buried could use his army to get away, but when your Opponent is clocking in at MFTL to Infinite speed means that Buried doesn’t get the chance, a stray White Hand Transform could work for Miki but its not going to work due to Miki ignoring any move minus a few, which means that Steven should be able to outlast Buried Alive.
Buried Alive vs Unown King: this is absolutely Buried Alive's closest fight, and so this is probably going to be one of the longer ones. Firstly looking at stats and its pretty obvious whose winning this in a quick draw, while Buried Alive is sitting at a good 0.016 c, even Unown Kings lower ends at 3% c is much faster, and that's assuming a high-end for Buried, not even taking into account the 82c end for Unown King, but if we ignore that things get interesting. All Buried needs is a good hit on Unown, it doesn’t have to kill and it doesn’t have to even break skin, all he needs is a hit, which would then let him turn Unown into a Buried, which would be entirely possible because of one thing…
Yeah so, Lavender town being able to both steal and then seal your soul would absolutely fuck up Unown King to crazy degrees, and this time, ir can’t just turn off the music or play over it due to how Lavender town syndrome works, which is that it keeps playing even if the sound system is broken, acting as a cognitohazard which is nearly inavoidable. Keyword: nearly. coming out of absolutely nowhere is Unown King’s creator Lucifer. Lucifer being able to override control of the game allows him to quickly stop Lavender Town Syndrome from doing too much damage, and due to both being faster and residing down in Hell, he’d have more than enough time to realize what’s happening and get rid of the music before it take out the Unown King, letting Unown King then mow down Buried Alive's army, something it has plenty of experience with given the main plot point of its story is it literally mowing down two entire regions worth of living beings, then finally moving in to take the original down for good.
Buried Alive vs BRVR: Brvr just has too many counters against Buried, while something like Lavender Town could help at least mentally damage BRVR to a degree, BRVR’s lack of a soul and sheer survivability means it wouldn’t be enough to actually take him down, and it's just not something Buried's getting off in time before he gets smacked hard enough to atomize a small child. Due to his iffy stats and already being a focus against Unown King, Buried Alive probably isn’t going to be able to kill BRVR.
Advantages:
- If MissingNo scaling is bought, he should be stronger than everyone.
- Lavender Town Syndrome is deadly as hell.
- If any scratch is gotten on the higher-tier guys, it’s wraps entirely…
Disadvantages:
- Weaker than everyone unless scaling is bought… which is unlikely.
- Slower than the finalists even with high-ends.
- … sadly he gets far too outhaxed for this to matter.
- No resistance to power nullification.
- Lavender town is likely never going to play as long as Lucifer's alive.
- Game control eventually wears off.
- Can’t kill the heavy hitters conventionally.
3rd place: Unown King
"The hierarchy of a king only gets you so far against those that kneel to no law."
In 3rd place is the king, and believe us when we say he went down swinging. Sadly, against the final two Unown King simply was just out of his league. While Unown King is able to punch with at LEAST a megaton of TNT, making him physically stronger in terms of raw AP, these last two are made up of actual universes, or time itself, and Unown King just didn’t have anything going for him to be able to match their frankly outrageous physiologies and forms, especially when they had just the things to take down the King and steal his crown.
Unown King vs Steven: This is probably where things become pretty apparent, while Unown King is absolutely stronger, Steven exists across time, meaning that no matter the wincon which Unown King has, he will never be able to pull it off due to Steven being able to go back in time and prevent it from happening, going back in time to kill him at the start of the fight, or simply blasting both Lucifer and Unown King with the truth. Even ignoring all of these things and saying that Lucifer would be able to power nullify Steven, the fact is, not only does Lucifer NOT have the AOE to properly affect Steven, it’s just never happening to begin with. Being both omnipresent across multiple universes (due to the inexistence thing going on) and having future sight means that Steven would know far before Lucifer on how to turn Unown King into stone before he becomes an issue, and then sending Lucifer to his little hellscape to be erased, or Steven burying the memory of both Unown King and Lucifer for all eternity, meaning Steven should easily take this.
Unown King vs BRVR: BRVR in layman's terms is a sort of Schrodinger's Cat here. Looking into its fight against Unown King, it’s got a bunch of outcomes but one constant remains and that is BRVR being there. Unown King has many abilities, all of which BRVR either ignores or should be able to counter with ease, and with the amount of support the guy has it makes sense, going into other dimensions to fight Lucifer outright would also spell the end for the King, while Unown King would be able to maybe negate some of BRVR’s abilities through power nullification, the fact that BRVR exists in a state of existence and inexistence means that trying to land anything on it would be incredibly difficult, while something like immortality negation is likely also resisted, giving him no real options to kill BRVR, and he’d still have to get pass soul-stealing, Myra being weird, or any of his other allies, which leaves the King vulnerable. Meaning the Unown King is unlikely to get past third place.
Advantages:
- Probably stronger than Steven and BRVR physically…
- Power nullification would bring him pretty far into the fight.
- Lucifer being able to bring back the king from petrification or falling asleep means that he could come back from a few abilities…
- Many abilities and resistances, and frankly, absurd stats allow him to live long enough to get to this point.
Disadvantages:
- … Outclassed in terms of physiology
- Slower then Steven
- … Unluckily for both Unown king and Lucifer, both Steven and BRVR can pinpoint his location
- No way to kill either Steven or BRVR
- Weakness to being sealed means that he’s kinda fucked
- Lacks acausality meaning that Steven or BRVR can just go back in time and kill the dude
- Lacks proper resistances to both Power Nullification and BFR
Steven vs BRVR
Which means its finally time for the final fight, we’ll be splitting this up into 3 categories, Stats, Abilities, and finally Survivability, this will be done as a usual verdict, so strap in and get a drink for the FINAL FIGHT OF THE POKEMON CREEPYPASTA BATTLE ROYAL
Stats
Starting with one of the more difficult things to pinpoint, this is literally a constant back and forth between the two, while at a surface glance BRVR should be stronger just due to the amount of shit he has, he really isn’t surprisingly, while Shelly can exert roughly 32 Kilotons of TNT, Stevens storm feat should be roughly around 488 Kilotons, that’s a huge margin in relation to pure physical stats, while BRVR is able to threaten the entire world, Steven threatens entire UNIVERSES, considered a void in reality and something which spans across time itself its crazy how strong this guy is.
But that's not all, while someone like BRVR is possibly coexisting across 2 universes, Steven simply exists across a wider multiverse, dragging things in from places which don't exist, and things from other universes entirely, at least Steven should be able to pull in things from around 12 total universes, its pretty clear that thats above BRVRs pretty simple 2 universes doesn’t compare, even then Steven existing across time itself should already put him at around 4D or, in that ballpark at least, making him infinitely stronger then BRVR even with the 2 universe scaling.
As for speed things don’t really get better, while BRVR can easily react to lightning quick attacks or attacks approaching the speed of light, Steven just has an infinite speed feat, on top of being omnipresent across time means that outspeeding Steven just isn’t an option AT ALL.
Which means that pretty easily, Steven should outright take stats.
Abilities
Onto another really difficult call, abilities, these guys have more things than your average creepypasta… SERIOUSLY, these guys have a lot of overlap in abilities, Data Manipulation, Reality warping, Illusions, BFR, Teleportation, Non-physical interaction, hell their very physiologies overlap as hell as well, for example both exist across their universes and are essential parts to them, meaning taking them out of those universes or killing them is nigh impossible, so if the overlapping abilities and their physiologies don't reveal anything important then what will?
Looking at their own abilities and things become even more foggy, Forced Control, Time Manipulation, Emotion Manipulation, Telekinesis, all things which barely or just outright don't affect BRVR at all, Erasure, Information manipulation, Death manipulation, hell the TRUTH is basically useless here, while it would absolutely incap BRVR for a little while, he’d eventually get back up, and his teammates are outright immune to the Truth, MissingNo, Miki, and Pikachu are all pretty strong in their own regards, but they don’t do anything to change the state of this battle, meaning that Steven shouldn’t be able to take this point… Which leaves an opening for BRVR.
So lets take a look at BRVR, what could possibly give BRVR the upper hand here, well uh… Not much, Mind Control, Pikachu abilities, Shape Shifting, creation, Immersion, all are useless against something which doesn’t exist, BFR sealing and forced movement does not work on something which exists across all time, Plant, Fire, and Humidity Manipulation wouldn’t be able to Kill Steven or incapacitate him, sound life, text, etc etc, all of his abilities either flat out don't work on someone like Steven, or they’re just really, really useless, to the point that Steven would just be able to bounce back.
So if neither have a really good foothold here then this category should be considered a TIE
Survivability
Which leads us to our final category, Survivability, this is… All things considered nearly impossible to pin down, trust me we had like a 2 hour debate over this
and im just going to come out of the gate and say it but, BRVR should take this, while initially, and for the most part, this blog considered Steven to be the winner until BRVR came out of nowhere with a really specific ability which completely shuts off Stevens win conditions, and that is S!Myra.
For the uninformed S!Myra is able to boot someone from the canon, while Steven is exempt from the plot of the game due to his inexistence, that doesn’t mean something like MissingNo couldn’t be affected, this is due to one very specific reasoning, MissingNos ability to remove someone from existence is an ABILITY, not a physiological trait, its something used on Steven and Miki to make them not exist, removing them across time, meaning theoretically Myra should be able to take the place of MissingNo and force Steven out of the fusion, and if that were to happen then its wraps.
But Steven still has ONE win condition, and thats through his speed, while both S!Myra and BRVR are fast, they are nowhere near the speed of Steven, whose able to move at MFTL to nigh Infinite speeds, so if Steven has a single option to win, even a small one, then he should take it, but luckily for BRVR, Steven simply doesn’t have that one final win condition needed, which means that all it would take is time, and that final piece of time needed would eventually come, with no option to dodge, kill S!Myra, or avoid this the time would eventually come, and Steven would Lose.
Which means BRVR takes Survivability
Steven
"I swear on my SOUL I will kill you…."
Advantages:
- Ridiculously Stronger.
- Faster regardless of what ends are used.
- The abilities which Steven has are able to cancel out a lot of BRVR’s specific stuff.
- Steven is able to basically avoid any conflict throughout the entire battle royal due to his physiology.
- If he has a singular win condition he wins without much argument…
- Better story lmao.
Disadvantages:
- Unable to put down BRVR for good.
- BRVR’s team is simply better than his.
- Killing Miki would cause him to go into a predictable rage.
- Unable to dodge the final killing blow needed to take him down.
- … which he doesn't have.
- MissingNo is susceptible to force an infusion against Steven.
BRVR
"Good things never last."
Advantages:
- Unable to be killed by literally anyone in this royal
- S!Myra hard carries his bumass
- Able to equal out abilities with basically everyone in the royal
- Goes blow for blow with Steven, only barely edging him out
- Has more variety in his abilities
- Gay rights
Disadvantages:
- Slower than Steven
- Weaker than Steven
- Unable to see the future is a major disadvantage
- Without Myra he would’ve undoubtedly lost
- His story is so unbelievably ass
Which means the winner IS
(Click the link)
Final Tally
Literally anyone else (1) - Lain, “I refuse to vote for Brvr, simply because its stupid as shit”
BRVR (2) - Cheese, NormallyNormal
Well that was fun!... although I am curious now…
What if…
The Pastas who didn’t make it…
UHCAKIP
Yo yo yo what's up its cheese again and during the process of this blog I did a little side plot of going out of my way to research the pastas that didn't make the cut, take this as a little extra to the blog.
Now… Uhcakip.exe, I originally suggested adding him to make representation to the EXE games, however we just kinda do not care, and we all thought that BRVR kinda already took up the whole “evil ass pikachu” gimmick, so uh yeah.
Uhcakip doesn't have quite of a lore, he's just, evil fucked up Pikachu, lmao.
Here's the research doc I made about him, feel free to read it!
Now where would he land on the battle royale? Well… Hi Lain taking over, uhhh not very far LMAO, basically Uhcakip literally lands last place, yes even below fucking GHOST, fucking GHOST beats Uhcakip out, thats fucking hilarious, he doesn’t resist enough to actually get past any character and just kinda gets slaughtered, he doesn’t add much so… lol.
Glitchy Red
Next up is Glitchy Red!, surprisingly, one of the first Pokepastas we considered for the blog, but we ended up going with Steven since we didn't want to have two “Reds” in the same blog, and also because Steven is objectively cooler.
Now, Glitchy Red himself, well… I'm going to be honest with you dear reader this story fucking sucks, its just Red going “ough… they replaced me… oh no… the horrors…”, and that's pretty much it. The story also says the R slur btw, what can you expect from 4chan.
So uh, here's the research doc that was made by me (Cheese).
And where does he land? Well, he should surprisingly be able to at least wipe out Ghost! He does have the one resistance needed, and methods to take It out, but that's about it, doesn't go very far since HellBell kinda mogs him.
Disabled
Another one that we considered just because it was funny, but, well, I guess you can see why we didn't pick It.
The whole story is just a Wigglytuff in a single battle against a Ponyta, can't use any move, spams struggle, then asks the player if they can sing, and… that's it, yeah, no killing the protagonist, no destroying the game, just, just that.
Here's the research doc made by me (Cheese)
And I'm just gonna be real for a second I think you can start seeing why we left a lot of Pokepastas out, I mean, this is just… sad man, no way of dealing with GHOST out of all people, literally power nulls ITSELF, and can't even even properly attack, this is just, bad.

So, that's it huh?
