Before We Start

Not really much to note here, both really don't actually have a very complex canon, the Show, and the official comics will be used for alastor, and as for helleva boss, uuuuuh we wont address it because we dont want to watch it, so shockingly Alastor gets everything that's canon, creator statements will be looked into but due to Vivsi being horrible at explaining anything or keeping her word in any way, it’ll be taken with a grain of salt.

Overlord will be getting the retrorealm games, both crossovers (duh) and any other alternative media, as for scaling that's where things get difficult, but we decided to use cross scaling as both seemingly take place in a random point during their series, while it can be contested if this is canon or not, for the sake of the debate we’ll be using it.

Alastor

“HAHAHHO, THIS, is going to be VERY entertaining!”

Born at an unknown time, a single child with a strange fixation on murder, psychopathic in nature this child would be destined for a horrible future, this child would be named Alastor, Alastor was always a performative fellow, outspoken and socially manipulative, as he grew he would become more and more attuned with a form of performance he enjoyed, the Piano, Alastor would become incredibly skilled, and be invited to higher and higher class parties, but as time passed, and as he met new faces, things began to change, even the smallest slight against alastor would result in the worst outcome of those who dare act against him, he’s a murderer afterall.

Eventually he realised that heaven certainly wasn’t an option for him, but to avoid the torture that comes with being in hell, he swallowed his own pride and ego, in 1933 he enacted a ritual, coming into contact with a hellborn by the name of Rosie, Alastor would strike a deal for his soul, in exchange of becoming the strongest soul in hell, he would do anything for Rosie upon request once, this would empower him, and make his soul stronger then any natural born in hell, as well as any real soul in hell, ironically, nearly a day later Alastor would be shot dead while trying to hide a body, as he’s mistaken for a deer, and as his soul is dragged to hell Alastor would no longer become just another soul… he would become, THE RADIO DEMON.

Alastor would take hell by storm, quickly taking out the highest members of hell's ranks, killing multiple overlords, and sometime during the 80s would begin enslaving a few, those unlucky souls who had been killed by Alastor would have their screams played over his radio broadcast, screaming in agony, he would continue to play by Rosie’s rules but would eventually become restless over it, he would practically listen to he every word like a dog, and he hated this, his ego would drive him to conspire against her, but he would never be able to enact such a plan, during this time Alastor would meet a very important pawn to his plan.

Vox, a cult leader who had recently died, another egoist who uses people to gain strength, however he was weak, much weaker than Alastor, keeping him around just to break him, until Vox proposed such a stupid idea Alastor completely broke his facade, Vox proposed a friendship, something that was so jarring to Alastor and something that led him to completely cut Vox off as a friend, this would create a deep rooted hatred for Alastor in Vox’s mind, but at the moment it didn’t matter to Alastor, he would continue to go about his business however, Alastor under Rosie's command, would be forced to disappear from hell, for an unknown amount of time Alastor would completely vanish from Hell.

After years of absence, Alastor would reappear, due to a little hotel popping up, and im sure you know the story from this point on, Angels come down once a year and kill a bunch of demons, so Charlie morningstar the daughter of Lucifer, creates a hotel to try and redeem sinners, Alastor after returning would be interested by such an idea, and due to ulterior motives would join as a host, skip a couple of unimportant things, and Adam the first human attacks the hotel, Alastor gets ahem, and I quote “Barely hurt” and has to leave, Adam dies and then all is well, as for the next season uuuh, im too lazy to describe it, all you really need to know is that Alastor and Vox fight, Alastor makes a deal with Vox and due to Vox messing up like usual he’s freed from his own Deal with Rosie, Vox goes insane and thinks he can do anything to heaven, he eventually loses and his doomsday device is poofed, YAAAAYYY.

Thus ends Alastor's tale for now.

Overlord

”The chaos, the violence, soon the depravity of this world will echo that of my nightmare realm…”

The emotions of man are chaotic and unknowing, evil in origin and the evil in us all gave birth to someone, no, someTHING, thus was born the Overlord, a being of pure evil and malice, who only ever had one goal, and that one goal was to control all realms within the universe, and so he decided that the best way to do this was to take the most evil things he could find, and then use their power…

Tormenting the Insane, but pure evil that is Michael Myers, Overlord forced him down memory lane making him fight through hordes of the undead or soon to be, Michael would continue to fight wave after wave, completely unfazed by anything Overlord threw at him, in his last attempt Overlord creates an exact copy of Michael, but through power and the fear gained Michael STABS HIMSELF, killing the clone, Overlord being forced to step in, and confident of his power begins using all of his strength to take down myers, but the curse that keeps him going let him stab into Overlord, forcing him to make his escape.

Overlord would eventually learn of something that could also help in his conquest, an object titled the Necronomicon, Overlord, to try and gain power steals it from one Ash william, Ash of course, as per usual fights against Overlord trying to get it back, but Overlord simply doesn’t care, summoning people from Ash's past, Ash is forced to fight through a massive army of people who despise him, all of their souls owned by the Overlord, but in usual fashion Ash fights through everyone and eventually meets the Overlord, but in an attempt to avoid defeat once more, the Overlord summons Ash’s biggest fear, Kandar the Destroyer, Ash is forced to fight this beast tooth and nail, it was one of the hardest fights he ever has, but eventually, through dumb luck and a little magic, Kandar is defeated once again.

In an attempt to avoid his fate once more Overlord uses the chance to use the necronomicon growing in size Overlord finally was able to fight back against someone who was weaker than himself, using all of his might Overlord casts a blast, trying to finally take down an opponent of his, Ash however was fast enough to put the Lord down, leaving him to escape back into the shadows… However this is not the end for the Overlord, give it enough time, and he’ll be back…

Experience & Skill

Alastor

Alastor is a demon, and therefore has a large amount of Experience, he’s a great social manipulator, I mean that's literally all he does for the first season, in fact he’s so good at it, he can socially manipulate people into rage, as shown through this song, in a single night he was able to overcome basically every overlord in hell, even if he was buffed by Rosie this is just an incredible task to commit to, he’s been known to be unpredictable and dangerous to those he’s around.

In fact his entire character is manipulation, fight Alastor at your own pearl as his body language, and even his face is all a facade to simply trick you into messing up, he can quickly get a pretty good grasp of your character, letting him understand you, as well as in the way you fight and how to exploit any weaknesses, hell he even fights people usually stronger than himself, like when he went toe to toe with Adam and had to deal with him for a good minute, while he only lost due to his own cockiness, he’s been shown to fight people on his level, like when he fought Shock.wav to a standstill for awhile, while in a weakened state.

Overlord

Overlord is stated to be all knowing which makes sense since he is capable of understanding the Necronomicon and who created it, sealing away people others care for the most and being able to track people who are very well known for his stealthy capabilities like Myers. Overlord knows people that had overcome the boogeyman Michael and even his past with his first ever kill to the point of bringing the every weapon he first used, and other worldly entities that the boomstick butcher Ash Williams has fought. Speaking of fights, Overlord is able to fight on par with Michael Myers & Ash Williams, the latter who has fought in many wars.

Microphone

A weird little staff thing, Alastor uses it to mess with his own voice, it’s often depicted as being alive, and considering it was seemingly a gift to him by Rosie, regardless of semantics, Alastor uses it mostly for his summons, and it seems to grant him some sort of power boost, we can tell when he’s using it to empower his own abilities due to the green electricity which pulses around while he uses it.

Sitchings

Alastor… Your smile… it- Okay well anyways, in a worse case scenario, if Alastor's soul is attacked or damaged in a very severe way, which is done through angelic weaponry, which can kill the very souls of sinners, he can make a… “Stratigic retreat” and use these green stitches to heal himself back up, of course they can be removed, but the final goal of them is to heal up wounds which would usually kill him, he also used it to slowly repair his staff, before Rosie does it for him.

Angelic Weaponry

Well, speaking of Angelic weaponry, these little knives, spears, axes, and other assortments of goodies, are great for taking down the immortal, considering they can permanently kill sinners which are completely immortal while within hell, it's also been shown to kill angels (as shown above) who are… Also immortal, so immortal in fact nobody knew how to kill them until the hazbin hotel just showcased how to.

Imps

Those little imps, that Alastor summons, are souls which he’s claimed over and put onto his infinite broadcast of torture, due to that they obviously varry in size shape and form, and can be summoned with a snap or maybe thought? Who knows, or well what we assume they are, considering the Overlords together have hundreds of thousands of souls all together, its not too big of a stretch to say he can just summon these guys, he uses them to overwhelm stronger opponents, who may or may not be angelic in nature, in this army of souls, there's also the heavier hitters…

Nifty

Nifty is certainly an issue to anyone who dare oppose Alastor, she can be summoned at any time, and she also seems to just have a sense if Alastors in any real danger (She wouldn’t know if Alastor is winning or losing a fight based on a single image),  she carries an angelic dagger with her, which she uses to… Kill Adam… To be fair she only got that killing blow due to her own stealthyness, considering her size she’s pretty easy to miss, due to her size she’s pretty fast, and she often uses it to quickly subdue or delay enemies, making it hard for them to continue fighting the main threat, she can also seemingly just control roaches, or other bug like creatures… Bug armor…

Husk

The metaphorical second in command to Alastor (Although Nifty probably fits that role better) Regardless Husk is very much a threat, pretty much forced to go along with what Alastor says (as shown above) considering he can also summon him like Nifty he’s kinda forced to be here. Husk is a pretty deadly foe, he’s a pretty good strategist like when he outplays these grunts, and considering he was a pretty big gambler back in his hey day, he’d have to be pretty smart, Husk can teleport with his hat to escape any real lethal damage, and using this magicians box he can seemingly negate any real damage sent his way, he’s been shown to turn himself into a card meaning he should probably resist any pesky transmutation attempts, he’s also got a pretty dangerous arsenal, like his cards which he uses almost always to disable an enemies main method of attack, like when he cut these guns in half, if things get tricky those same cards can instead be used as explosives to take down any large group of enemies or just keep someone on their toes, he does the same with his dice which also explode, he’s pretty skilled with these disk things, which he uses to trap his opponents or keep them from moving.

The Evil Eye

An object created by the Overlord, the Evil eye is a fraction of the overlords power, it lets the user swap between the normal realm and the nightmare realm at will, while it has a time limit there's no reason to believe that Overlord should have this same time limit.

The Necronomicon Ex-Mortis

A book with Boundless power, which Overlord Obtains after stealing it from Ash Williams, a book with unimaginable unlimited Power, Overlord understood how to use the book to its fullest potential which means that it’s safe to say he can probably mimic anything anyone actually does within the series, in fact, the very author of the book itself states that Overlord’s power is completely unbeatable meaning that saying he can use the Necronomicon is fine, the book can

The Nightmare Realm Residents

The Nightmare Realm is 1;1 copy of earth and the universe itself, holding its own moon and sun, going off this there would be at least 105 billion demons that reside in the realm of eternal fear & chaos. These monsters can in any kind of shape or form, like these massive spider creatures that will charge at you, eyeball entities that fly around and shoot small blasts of energy, monsters that throw propane tanks,  leaches that crawl up on walls waiting for a moment to strike, chubby guys who block your path and create shockwaves, tentacle monsters that shoot out acid from its holes, and flying bugs that sting you with their stingers. All of which can be reformed in a short amount of time, everyone seemingly has a “nightmare realm” variant of themselves, and killing that variant will cause their main body to explode.

Mister F

Mister F comes from an insane asylum and is a loyal servant to the Overlord. F can jump pretty high in the sky, call in his own goons to get the jump on people, cause shockwaves, call in grenades and kick at far distances

Ruby Knowby

Ruby Knowby is a talented and lovely woman who is the known author of the Necronomicon. Anyone who seems to have possession of the book can control her, and considering Overlord of course, owns the Necronomicon he should be able to use her. Ruby can summon creatures and cause massive shockwaves.

Eligos

A mind demon, Eligos is something which follows the will of whom ever summons it, and because overlord summoned him, well, he’s following his own will, Eligos is nothing to scoff at, it can take control of those with feeble or weak minds, and move so fast it looks like actual teleportation, using this energy Eligos can create electric spheres which move towards their target at a… slow pace.. Weirdly enough, and if worse comes to worst, he can create an electric field around himself which blocks out all damage, forcing anyone to dodge the electrical onslaught he ensures afterwards

Kandar

A beast which resides within the Necronomicon, Kandar the Destroyer is an ace up Overlords sleeve, the mere size of the beast is enough to intimidate anyone who dare challenge it, it was one of the only beasts which was going to destroy Ashes very soul, which makes it incredibly deadly, simply by moving it’s hand it was able to create massive shockwaves across an entire room, and of course, to top it all off, it can breath fire… because of course it can

Alastor

Demonic Physiology

Alastor is a demon, and what comes with that is the physiology attached to the Demonic realm… Alastor has full control over his own body, like when he twists his neck around, considering he does this a lot it’s probably safe to say snapping his neck wouldn’t kill him, Alastor is of course, also a human soul, if this means he’s physical or not is a little confusing, but considering human souls can’t go to the human realm it’s probably safe to say he isn’t, on top of that Sinners usually cannot die, in fact, sinners are usually so impervious to damage they can regrow limbs, we also have a timeframe for how fast limbs usually grow back, like during the fight between Alastor and Vox, where Alastor breaks vox in half, and in the next scene he has his legs back, Valentino also lives (sadly) being stabbed multiple times, and even being stabbed right through the chest. It makes sense, afterall hell IS forever.

On top of that Demons are empowered by how much they’re feared, or the more people know about them, while this isn’t confirmed specifically, it is something which is pretty prevalent throughout season 2, it’s a pretty heavy theme, like when alastor complains about his name inspiring less fear, which he then connects to himself lacking any power, and Vox becoming the strongest sinner in hell after gaining a 100% approval rate across hell.

Tentacle Creation

GASP ITS SLENDERMAN!!!

Probably his main ability, Alastor is able to create tentacles from his body, or just around, he mostly uses them to mess around with things, he can use them to carry things which are heavy with relative ease, the tentacles which he creates from his body are often used for stabbing people or taking out large groups of enemies, in fact he can make these things as big as he wants, usually using portals to summon the bigger ones, he can use them to take down any massive airships which could be troublesome, he also uses them as a sort of slingshot catalyst, they seem to be pretty rubbery which he uses to his advantage to launch him forward at lethal speeds.

Reality Warping

Alastor has shown the ability to warp reality in a confined area, like during his song against lucifer where he just outright warps reality (you can watch through the song here) he can do things like push reality away as curtains, which while impressive isn’t actually him physically moving reality its moreso a fancy teleportation which can catch a person off guard, he can seemingly create clones in a confined area as well, he’s been shown to teleport people as well, placing them in particularly unfair places, leaving them open to the comedical trapdoor, in the Pilot he’s also shown the ability to make areas bigger than usual, change the color scheme, and do all sorts of wacky stuff.

Technology Manipulation

Alastor as the Radio demon, has Technology Manipulation… I mean how else would he be able to take your eternal soul and put it inside of a radio, in fact Alastor threatens husk with tearing his soul apart and putting it on the air,Alastors been shown to simply blow up any tech that gets any recording of him (You’re just gonna have to trust me on this one the link died) he’s also been shown to just kinda, appear on screens and manipulate them whenever, hell he can manipulate tech to play his voice if its covered or anything.

Umbrakenisis

Another Iconic ability of Al’s is his ability to mess with his own shadow and control it, he’s been shown to mess with it like summoning it from wherever, he’s used it as a sort of threatening image, like when he moves it behind him (also shown above) of course that's not all, as he’s been able to teleport using his shadow, possibly letting him travel at light speeds? He can use it to dodge attacks from people, create massive spikes, or seemingly possess the ground to create explosions.

Barrier Creation

Alastor during the angel invasion creates a massive barrier which covers the Hazbin Hotel, protecting it from out side angels, it seemingly can block out soul destroying weaponry like the Exorcists blades, the barrier itself can create tentacles which can fire out from it, they carry angelic weaponry meaning that anyone foolish enough to come close will be killed, in the finale Alastor helps with the Barrier around the liliths might, which eventually leads to everyone seemingly erasing it, if Al could recreate this is unknown but considering he was one of the main forces behind that it wouldn’t be that far of a stretch.

4th Wall Awareness/Possible Future Sight

Alastor has shown some pretty weird things in regards to the 4th wall, he’s looked towards the camera a couple times, and even has a weird song which addresses us the viewer, however what's even weirder is that he’s done this in canonical material as well, most impressively is during his song with Vox where he states “When you lose your marbles in act 3~” while looking towards the camera, so while Future Sight is iffy, 4th Wall awareness isn’t.

Summoning/Creationism

Alastor can summon things at will, he wouldn’t be able to hold up deals if he couldn’t afterall! He can create small things like cameras for VERY important recordings, during episode 1 of season 1 he also summons multiple demons to come help him out, and he summons Nifty and Husk to the Hazbin hotel (which you’ve already seen if you’re PAYING ATTENTION) he can create clothing and put them directly onto people, he can summon his imps basically whenever to help him out, and in the pilot with the flick of his cain he can create clothing to put onto people!

Combustion Manipulation

Ah yes, manipulating the medium of flames, Alastor has shown the ability to create Explosions, Fire, and a couple other things, shown in the “Summoning” Image, Alastor has a pretty deep connection to fire, Like when he created this massive explosion and shot pentious into the sky, he can create green fire simply by waving his hand around, and he sometimes does this to start an AWESOME song

Possible Luck/Fate Manipulation

One of the more “Iffy” Abilities, is Alastor’s strange luck manipulation, during Husk’s backstory we learn a couple things, specifically that he loses to Al in a game of poker, and it’s described as him being down on his luck, as the image shows above, it’s heavily implied that Al used his own powers to cheat Husk out of the souls he owned, which means that it’s possible that using his own powers Alastor can rig things in his favor… Take this with a grain of salt however as it’s never really elaborated on.

Death Manipulation

Alastor causes this Plant to die in his grasp… idk lmao he only ever does this once it doesn’t mean anything.

Overlord

Overlord Physiology

Overlord has heavily implied himself to be powered by Fear & Chaos itself throughout each realm and the entire universe, the more that someone kills another life the more Overlord will grow. So long as there is evil and fear within the universe they will always return and grow much stronger. His mere presence is even capable of driving someone into pure madness. Overlord’s mere presence is also capable of using telekinesis with him being able to lift multiple platforms and objects.

Reality Warping/Corruption

Overlord’s reality warping and corrupting capabilities is immensely powerful, not only was he able to warp an entire room Michael was in, but also the entire world, even to the point of manipulating the moon and sun. His abilities are so powerful they are comparable if not superior to the Necronomicon.

Sealing

Overlord has shown the ability to Seal your soul through a couple of ways, during Laurie’s campaign Overlord takes Tommy and puts him inside a ball which traps him away, and in Kelly’s campaign seals her mothers soul in a tomb, forcing her to get it back from him, however anyone on the outside who gets their hands on it seemingly can free the soul within although it’s not really clear how this is done, but it Laurie can then it probably isn’t anything too special

Life Creation, Duplication & Power Mimicry

By using the very sins you hold and absorbing your very hatred to be even stronger, Overlord can create a mere perfect shadow clone/copy of his opponent which has all the unique skills as you have and can do it in a mere instant.

Summoning

Overlord has shown the ability to summon people to help him out in fights, he often does this through a strike of lightning, and has done this through strange dimensional portals, he’s also summoned demons like when he summoned Eligos to help him fight against Ash, and at the end of the Evil Dead campaign, he summons Kandar the destroyer with a simple zap of lightning

Teleportation/Dimensional Stuff

Overlord has shown the ability to teleport things to him or different locations, like summoning Micahel’s knife from his very first kill seemingly across time, created an endless amount of monsters in realms across space-time, and travel between his Nightmare Realm to the real world.

Weather Manipulation & Biology manipulation

Overlord can utilize the weather to summon lightning, which affects people’s biology. 

Darkness Manipulation

Overlord can manipulate the environment and reduce it to darkness

Lasers

Overlord is capable of creating lasers which he calls upon firing a total of 6 of them.

Fire Manipulation

Overlord can manifest flames which are disastrous because they can go in circles, shooting up in the air and come down spreading two fire balls on the ground.

Soul/Immortality Manipulation & Negation

Overlord is capable of messing with souls which he can distort them into living monsters, and even destroy them, negating their spiritual immortality.

Using his full power, Alastor has shown the ability to grow into incredible sizes, he usually does this as to make himself a bigger threat to those who come in way of his plans (see above) he also has an interesting in between form, where he doesn’t grow to full size but mostly uses it for intimidation, however that isn’t to say he hasn’t used it for offence before, which seemingly amps up his own power in relation to his size

Giant Form

Overlord has a couple ace’s up his sleeve, this includes his Giant form, seemingly mimicking that of Kandars, Overlord is able to grow to giant sizes to seemingly scare his foes, he can create purple orbs from his eyes which on contact make you lose your line of sight, obscuring Overlord, and the background into a pitch black fog, his eyes are also able to create electricity around them, shocking anyone who comes to close.

Alastor while strong still has his weaknesses, like the fact that due to his physiology means damage which either attacks souls, or things which deal damage to spiritual beings directly will practically always be fatal for him, also breaking his staff is pretty shitty, Alastor himself actually realizes how bad he has it when his staff is broken, it locks him out of boosting his own power weakening him immensely, to the point he began to struggle with dealing with weaker overlords, he also has pretty poor judgement when it comes to fighting, while sure, he’s a master strategist, he genuinely believed that he could take on adam and win, which shows just how big of an ego Alastor has, also most of his team kinda hates him.

Overlord

Overlord has some pretty clear flaws despite his overwhelming power, like the fact that he’s pretty clumsy, the fact is, he dropped the evil eye, EIGHT FUCKING TIMES, on top of that he tends to just leave himself open for attacks as he kinda just throws out attacks without thinking too hard about them which usually leads to punishment from his opponent, he often relies on his tankiness to take attacks, and in his giant form he can be taken down simply by destroying his eyes, he just kinda stands there most of the time, relying on his opponents falling down and taking massive damage, he also usually has to mind control people for them to work for him.

Before the Verdict

Alastor

Infinite Speed Alastor

During the fight between Alastor and Vox, Alastor is able to react to Vox’s teleportation, while on the surface this is pretty clearly fucking insane, I mean it pretty clearly is teleportation right? I mean we watch him do this a bunch of times, but this feat really isn’t usable in any meaningful way, even if you were to buy it as instant teleportation there is a start up to it which is noticeable (reference the last 2 clips) which both Alastor and the cactus guy react to, meaning even if it were to be seen as an actual defensible speed for Vox, nobody realistically reacts to the feat itself.

Even still the feat itself is strange, considering we see Vox teleporting through electricity, meaning that this wouldn’t even qualify as an infinite speed feat, and would rather be close to light speed reaction timing, which is much more in line with realistic speeds we see within the show, putting most characters around FTL to around MFTL… speaking of MFTL actually…

Might of Lilith scaling

Alright this is a pretty big one so let's separate this, the first part will be about the scaling itself, and the second will be the speed calculation.

Firstly let’s talk about what the Might of Lilith even is, it’s a machine which harnesses the power of lucifer to shoot a massive blast towards whatever Vox wants to shoot, it was strong enough to destroy the barrier around heaven, in fact it was so strong it was able to shake all of heaven for multiple seconds, this tremor was felt across all of heaven, and when overcharged it was going to destroy half of the pentagram, which is the entire planet of hell, so the main question is, should anyone realistically scale to this massive beast of a weapon? Well… Yeah actually! Peter was able to stand right next to the blast and take the shockwave it created point blank, implying some level of upscaling from higher angels, characters like Adam, Charlie, Luci etc, should be able to replicate the same thing, however, this isn’t a blog about those characters, but it doesn’t really matter anyways, considering the fact that Alastor was still able to fight against Adam (Dealing minor damage to him) he should still be able to downscale the shaking of heaven at full power. Characters like Emily can outright react to the laser, and Alastor himself can also somewhat react to the laser being fired, although Emily still gets hit both he and Emily were able to react to the blast and turn around in time before it hit them.

So if that's the case, how fast is The Liliths Might? Well it certainly isn’t anything to scoff at, considering there is no canonical distance between the two planets we can only really assume a distance, so where did we put it? Well considering the imagery in relation to Heaven, and the origins of the term Heaven, we think it’s safe to assume that Heaven should at least be one solar distance away from Hell, as it’s often represented as the sun in hell, and considering there is a moon orbiting around Hell, we can infer that Heaven should be considered the “star” of hell, so the laser traveling to heaven in roughly 2.5 seconds 199 c seems to be a fine scale for the speed of the might of Lilith, and Emily reacting to the blast reaches 0.48c. Which is pretty consistent with other feats within the series.

TLDR: Alastor can react at .48c and at high end scaling should be able to move at 199c (Note this is a High end, which assume that Emily can move in tandem with the laser)

Overlord

Infinite Speed Ash Williams

Alright Infinite Speed, ROUND TWO, During the DLC of the evil dead campaign Ash states and I quote "I'm here and there at the same time” Which at a surface glance is also Infinite speed, However we do learn how he’s doing this, which just kinda breaks everything anyways, specifically Ash is just breaking the laws of physics, he isn’t anywhere in this campaign physically actually, and is just sort of played off as a joke during this part of the game, even if we did decide to give him this scaling, nobody actually scales to this, and it’s not something he can seemingly do on command, he’s not reacting to anything and he’s not doing anything to actively warrant scaling or a scaling chain. So no Ash, you don’t get Infinite Speeds.

4D Overlord...again

Alright so we already talked about this, but let's do it again, round 2.

We won't be going over what we already had, which means no, Overlord did not create the Nightmare Realm, rather he is simply the Overlord of it, the TLDR is Overlord never really does anything to manipulate it on a cosmic scale, rather he just has it bleed into each universe and it shouldn’t really be taken at face value. However, something we did miss was the Overlord's range of corruption, considering the Nightmare realm contains multiple solar objects, it means his range of abilities with the eye swapping a person into the Nightmare realm should be in a universal scope… If only anyone actually scaled to that.

Next up are the statements which call Overlord impossible to beat, considering this was stated by the author of the book itself, who created it with “Boundless power” and “Unlimited power” However that’s just not something truly applicable, while it’s true that Overlord should be on par with the power of the Necronomicon we really don’t know how he should be on that scale, so for the sake of being nice, means that his own power should be universal in scale, HOWEVER, he literally never uses his abilities at this scale, in most of his fights he’s simply trying to win, and when he loses he just retreats, meaning no Michael, you STILL aren’t universal.

Stats

Let’s start stats, and well, this is actually very close, strength wise both should be dishing out around Building destroying strength at minimum, with Alastor destroying Sir Pentiouses ship casually (which has been calced around 334 tons) vs Overlord upscaling Ash living a massive explosion (At around 137 tons) which means at low ends Alastor should be stronger, which is quiet impressive, however he can’t really keep up this level at their mid ends, when they actually begin to try, things begin to change, considering we don’t really have a specific Mid end for alastor, upscaling 334 tons pretty easily is the most we can give him, however Overlord has been regarded as completely unbeatable by those like Rose, who was able to create a massive storm over an entire city, (which was placed at 5.8 Megatons of TnT) Overlord upscaling people who upscale that should also place him even higher into the Megaton ranges, in fact he’s created his own storms multiple times so saying he upscales 5.8 Megatons is fine. However that doesn’t mean he wins at absolute high ends, sure Alastor being able to probably beat up Peter puts him around 15 Megatons, which is already much stronger then Overlords highest end, him being able to create a shield which he gave the most energy to (hell we see his affects instantly power up the shield), and then implied everyone would die without his own help, and even if we assume he’s not dishing out 2676 Megatons, he was still 1/15th of this power, and should still upscale that considering not every overlord is equal, and he is considerably stronger than them, that’s still almost 178.4 Megatons of TnT, which is still 30x stronger than anything Overlord has shown, or upscaled to 461x stronger then Overlord (Note: that this is ignoring Universal Overlord as he’s never shown anything near that level of power)

Speed is also pretty interesting. If we first take a look at the Low end stuff, Alastor consistently is able to tussle with those at a subsonic scale, considering lesser demons can react to bullets or are usually on bullet timing, Overlord however has… Literally no speed feats on his own, as because he usually just kinda floats around, and a lot of his light based attacks are pretty clearly choreographed it’s not particularly fair to give him those ends, Mid ends things begin to change, as they start trying more they will eventually become faster and faster starting with Overlord, he should scale to Ash as he can catch him off guard, who could dodge light from the very sun itself (Which has been placed at 0.87c) while Alastor staggers behind at a still imposing but slower than Overlord, due to Emily reacting to the might of lilith at 0.48c which would realistically make Overlord slightly faster, but for some reason, as fate so decides to make it, Alastor again pulls through at high ends, while true that Overlord should be at light speed due to upscaling .87c from ashes light reaction, Alastor completely washes that by scaling to the Might of Lilith's beam, if we are to assume that Emily can keep up with the blast, and Alastor somewhat downscales that then he’s still moving at 199c, which is still just 199x faster then overlord, that's just comedically insane, which I think makes it safe to say that Alastor, should very easily win over Physically.

Armies & Arsenals

Things are starting to get interesting now, as these two clash it’s only a matter of time before their armies get involved. Numbers wise it’s pretty clear how this is going down, Overlord has the numbers outright, while Alastor has hundreds of thousands of souls under his belt, which he can use to create imps or anything else needed at the moment really, Overlord just has a bigger army, which means that in pure numbers he should win right? Well not exactly, considering Overlords army spans an entire planet, it’s not something he could mobilize against Alastor, or at least in a quickly timed manner, and even then he’s never really shown to do that before, as he rather just lets who ever he’s fighting run around, which contrasts with Alastor who almost always uses his army in a very overwhelming way, which puts the tides unto Alastor once again.

However let’s not exclude their heavy hitters, while Alastor lacks in numbers comparison to Overlord, Alastor having Nifty and Husk, while Overlord has Mister F, Ruby Knowby, Eligos, and Kandar, which is a clear 2<4 ratio, we can completely ignore Mister F, as he really isn’t anything special, so lets focus on Eligos and Kandar vs Husk, while Nifty takes on Ruby Knowby, on a surface level both Eligos and Kandar should be more than enough to take down Husk, while Husk certainly has the weaponry to take these two down he should relatively slower than Eligos who should be moving at 0.87c while Husk is really only in the bullet timings, meaning that while Eligos can take down Husk, can Husk take down Kandar? Well not particularly but yes he can, if he were to use his angelic weapons then any hit on Kandar will not only deal massive damage, but negate any durability he may have, meaning that Husk could probably take down Kandar in a couple moves, as more Nifty vs Ruby, Ruby should be stronger, faster and just more versatile right? Well no. Not only is Nifty faster than Ruby (Considering Nifty is constantly put on the same scale as Alastor in terms of speed, and sometimes implied to be faster, she should scale to the 199c feat) She should also just be stronger, considering she was one of the 15 overlords to be able to seal the Liliths Might, which means Nifty at her full power should be able to produce 15 Megatons of TnT which is stronger then Ruby’s 5 Megatons, this isn’t even accounting for the fact that Nifty is able to use Angelic weaponry which is able to negate any immortality or regen she’d have from being able to use the Necronomicon, meaning that in this game of Armies, Alastor will most likely always come out on top.

As for their Arsenals, things become more tricky, so let’s take a look at their smaller stuff first, which is… Nothing for Overlord, Alastor’s Angelic weaponry is incredibly deadly as we’ve already gone over, and his Stitches are able to heal up wounds which attack the very soul itself, meaning that he can keep himself in the fight for long periods of times, but when looking at their stronger stuff things do in fact become more interesting Overlord has a shitton to go over with the Necronomicon itself, things like Reality warping and Fate manipulation are quite frankly insane, and stuff like Soul manipulation/destruction are pretty good, it even matches Alastors own Staff with stat amping… However, all would be cool if it weren’t for a couple things, a main one being that the Necronomicon has a soul, and because it has a physical form, it leaves itself open to being stabbed by Angelic weaponry, and if it is, it gets destroyed, and Overlord can’t do jack shit to bring it back, and there's no real way Overlord can do the same to Alastors staff, considering it can take 15 Megatons, which is much stronger than Overlords peak, meaning Alastor should win this category.

Abilities

These two have so many abilities, it’d be impossible to go over them one at a time, but in fact they actually match each other in a bunch of ways, they can blast fire at each other, shoot explosions from their hands, and in a flick of a wrist summon anyone to help them out in the fight, both can seemingly match each other in the way they grow in power, although this is where things slowly become apparent, Overlord's abilities are just much more potent then Alastors, sure he can create massive barriers which would make short work of any of the Overlords army, his tentacles are pretty good for AoE and Husk’s explosions and just general knowhow are pretty strong, and Alastor’s own localized Reality warping could cause a bunch of trouble for Overlord, but remember what we said? Overlords own abilities just far outclass that of Alastors, considering his own Reality warping works on a universal scale Alastor really cannot do anything to challenge that level of Reality warping, Alastor would mostly have to rely on his Teleportation and his own Soul manipulation to even do really much of anything TO Overlord, while Overlord can use his own Telekinesis to fling Alastor around if he wants, place him inside of a ball which traps his soul, forcing Husk Nifty, and any other soul he has to try and grab him back. (Note: Considering that Overlord only ever does this to get at people, it’s unlikely he’d use it against Alastor, and more likely he goes for someone like Husk)

Even then we’re just touching the surface, Overlord himself also has the Necronomicon, which just has a whole laundry list of abilities, Duplication if things get tricky, Pain manipulation if he needs to keep someone down, Existence erasure for a sure fire kill option on Alastor or any of his goons (Note: This isn’t a surefire wincon as people just seemingly come back after some time) and due to the Mind manipulation spells within the book it just becomes more and more apparent that Overlord consistently has more options to trick, confuse, entrap, or even flatout kill Alastor, this is all made worse with creating clones, while these clones are always portrayed as weaker than their main counterpart they still have the same abilities and that would certainly throw Alastor for a loop, hell, being able to reveal what Alastor truly looks like is something that would not only freak him out, it’d also piss him the fuck off. Also with the amount of summoning Overlord's army can do, and the amount of just giant beasts he has at his disposal, basically anyone or anything who comes close will eventually be swarmed by these beasts, meaning that Overlord should be able to take Abilities with relative ease.

But all is for not… If not for the final category…

Longevity

So it all comes down to this, who's going to live longer than the other? Well lets Peterson Michael this shit and create a sort of Graph to see if one has better options against the other

  • Alastor
    • Alastor vs Immortality Negation: This is one i’ve been itching to talk about, Overlord has shown the ability to zap people with lightning which lets him negate their immortality and flat out kill them, weaker members in his army should also be able to replicate such an event, however there's a couple issues with this, firstly Alastor is just blitzing lightning, considering all of Overlords abilities come from Lightning damage, or are done by lightning, he probably wouldn’t expect someone like Alastor whose entire persona is hiding his potential, to dodge lightning, with relative ease at that, regardless, even if it did hit, it’s not nearly strong enough to actually kill Alastor, it would deal massive damage of course, but it wouldn’t actually kill him, the same goes for his army where even if they COULD theoretically kill alastor, they simply aren’t strong enough to get that off.
    • Alastor vs Impairment Abilities: While true that Alastor can escape Overlords Immortality negation of his very soul, this doesn’t mean he still wouldn’t try to get it down, I mean if anything the Overlord is one persistent motherfucker, but all of these fall flat thanks to that speed difference, and a glaring weakness the Overlord has, most of his attacks are very clearly choreographed, they all have a windup, and they all take time to get off, the main thing Overlord would be relying on here is that black orb and his darkness manipulation, if he gets it off then yeah, he could certainly blind alastor, but that orb will practically never reach Alastor, due to how slow moving it is, and sure he could guarantee it with AoE, but that's just not something he would actively rely on, even still it’ll ware off after awhile, meaning that even if he were to get it off, it really wouldn’t last long enough to truly matter, even still you can still hurt the Overlord when he does this, meaning that Alastor can continually hurt him even in the darkness.
    • Alastor vs The Necronomicon: The Final hurdle Alastor has to cover, that Pesky Necronomicon, considering the book itself is linked to most if not all of Overlords true wincons, and Alastor really doesn’t have an actual way to take this thing out of the fight, while he could realistically destroy it, there's nothing really saying it couldn’t just regenerate, it’s strong enough to recover from anything short of Soul Destruction, and the fact it will defend itself from basically anything means that Overlord will basically always have the Necronomicon on him, which forces him to deal with some pretty shitty stuff.
  • Overlord
    • Overlord vs Instant Kill Options: Al has an assortment of instant win buttons, his death manipulation while basic is still pretty important, however its only ever seemed to work on things that are biological (ie the rose he uses it on) so saying it would kill someone like Overlord who can live being exploded into blood, is a bit far of a stretch, so what about Alastor's other instant win buttons, firstly Alastor’s luck/fate manipulation isn’t really that big of a deal, even if it were true (which it really isn’t) Overlord could match it in multiple ways and just kinda overpower it regardless with the Necronomicon, now what is interesting is if Overlord gets caught in that barrier, if he does and Alastor does what they do to the might of lilith, and his own power being far greater than that of Overlords, there really isn’t a reason to believe that Alastor couldn’t just… erase Overlord, and he doesn’t really have a way back from that, although the Necronomicon could be argued to save him from that, there just isn’t a real argument that it would though.
    • Overlord vs Angelic weaponry: Well I guess it would come down to this, these weapons are the only things truly capable of killing the Overlord for good, see… the secret is, i kinda led you on with Alastor vs The Necronomicon, because Alastor CAN destroy that book through these weapons, he just doesn’t really have a way to get it to hit either Overlord OR the Necronomicon itself, at most reliable the Overlord is faster, and even if we bought 199c alastor, that’s only his reaction speed, meaning that Overlord can just keep it out of reach… if only there was someone who could sneak up on him and deal a killing blow, OH WAIT. THERE IS.

That's right in Alastor vs Sebastian Husk was the one to save the day, but tonight is NIFTY’S TIME TO SHINE BABY, yeah you heard me right, Overlord literally cannot deal with Nifty in any real way, considering that she should pretty easily upscale light speed stuff, and her whole thing is sneaking around and being hard to miss, the narrow minded Overlord who only really focuses on the main threat, which in this case would be Husk and Alastor, would have literally no chance to openly react to, or deal with Nifty in any meaningful way, trust us we checked, the thing is, she’s fast enough to dodge any attack he may throw at her, skillful enough to dodge any sealing attempts, and strong enough to actually overpower the Overlord, meaning the longer the fight goes on, and the fact the Overlord has no way to keep Alastor down for good, means that Nifty will eventually find a way, to kill the Overlord for good.

Alastor

"Quit pro quo, it’s only fair, You really are a demon pet, you knew my game the day we met.”

Advantages:

  • Very slightly stronger on low ends but 30~461x stronger on high ends…
  • Faster on mid-high ends
  • Just muuuch more experienced fighting people and can potentially just ragebaiting Overlord…
  • Immune to Overlords mind control due to being able to consistently ignore Vox’s mind control, and should also be able to ignore Overlords fear manipulation due to being fine around zestial
  • Can be free from sealing if someone breaks him out from the outside…
  • Angelic Weapons are a great counter to Overlord’s immortality
  • Better warping reality in terms of versatility…
  • Overtime would be able to gain the numbers advantage due to turning souls he owns into imps…
  • Husk is really useful against nearly all of Overlord’s allies
  • Nifty is the fucking wincon lmfao.
  • Will ALWAYS live long enough to deal a killing blow
  • Realistically, both would be friends
  • He beats overlords...

Disadvantages:

  • ...weaker on mid ends
  • Soul and Immortality Manipulation negates his entire existence
  • ...Though his main gimmick with social influencing Overlord is null with him being all knowing on people
  • ...Still vulnerable to sealing regardless
  • Overtime the more Alastor kills Overlord’s allies the stronger he’ll become
  • ...but is far weaker in terms of area-of-effect and scale
  • …Still starts out with a smaller army regardless, and killing even a billion people would take for-EVER.
  • If Universal is somehow bought, Alastor just loses
  • ...still jobbed to Vox and his stupid pet shark
  • Dawg you did not need to do allat
  • Insert Vivziepop’s writing bad joke here
    • And also her adding drop shadow to literally EVERY character!!!

Overlord

"As long as there is fear...anger...nightmares...I will forever be waiting to take control of what’s rightfully mine. When you least expect it, I will return!"

Advantages:

  • Slightly faster on mid ends…
  • Could possibly be on par on low-ends and is much stronger on mid-ends...
  • Possibly more intelligent…
  • Soul and Immortality Manipulation is the perfect solution to Alastor’s immortality and can end the fight in a mere instant
  • Sealing can incap Alastor and really any of his allies and teleport them away to a place in time where they can retrieve them…
  • Much bigger army like...105 BILLION ALLIES IF NOT MORE THROUGHOUT SPACE-TIME. And are more loyal to him than to Alastor in comparison...
  • Ruby Knowby could destroy Alastor’s barrier
  • His mere existence assures that the more Alastor kills his allies he would grow much stronger as the better progressions and keep up with him on low ends
  • Alastor has no way to kill the Overlord or bypass stupid immortality thanks to Abstract Existence…
  • Far greater reality warping capabilities on much higher scales/AoE...
  • Necromicon grants him abilities Alastor can’t really get around like Memory Wiping if he screws up a spell, Earth Manipulation takes out nearly all his allies, and much more and would use them if he has to take things seriously…
  • If Universal is somehow bought, Overlord just wins lmao
  • Realistically, both would be friends
  • Has the coolest design ever
  • Ungodly rizz

Disadvantages:

  • …High ends he gets sweeped
  • ...though that is debatable and is nearly 30~461x weaker on high ends
  • ...Faar less experienced and skilled in fighting though
  • …However he never does this on screen however, and there's nothing stopping husk from just teleporting there before Overlord time bfr’s them anyways
  • ...most are still inferior in combat
  • ...Though he can’t regenerate and usually leaves people alone when defeated, angelic weapons could kill him if Alastor has them on him.
  • ...Is less versatile in that department
  • …The book CAN be destroyed, and if it is, that's completely it for Overlord
  • Husk can be a pain to deal with if not dealt with quickly
  • Madness Manipulation and Mind Control are useless
  • Nifty...just fucking Nifty
  • Big form makes him even more of a target.
  • He’s not really subtle about when he’s about to attack
  • Will NEVER be able to actually kill Alastor.
  • Would lose a game of Poker against Alastor

Final Tally

The Overlord was one formidable foe, between his overwhelming army, and the Necronomicon there was no way he was going down easy… But due to his own cockiness and no real way to recover from angelic weaponry…

His screams will make for a fine broadcast.
