Background

Tatsumaki

Hurry up and get out of my way

In the world of One Punch Man Being born with psychic abilities is a significant advantage. However, Tatsumaki’s experience was far more traumatic than most. As a child, she was taken from her adoptive family and subjected to experiments by scientists who bribed her family to stay silent. Confined in a dark cell for years, Tatsumaki gradually lost hope. Everything changed when a monster escaped, prompting the scientists to flee, leaving her behind because of her lower magical potential.

Just as the monster approached her cell, ready to attack, she was saved by the hero Blast, who recognized her strength and questioned why she hid her powers. Overwhelmed with emotion, Tatsumaki explained that revealing her abilities would only prolong her captivity Blast reminded her that she had a sister who cared for her, urging her to protect her family.

Years later, Tatsumaki had risen to become a formidable hero, ranked S-Class Rank 2. While not much is known about her life during this time, her past struggles shaped her. She was eventually called to confront the ancient king, which she defeated effortlessly using a large boulder Tatsumaki later encountered Saitama at the Hero Association HQ, thanks to Bang’s invitation to an S-Class meeting. During the alien invasion of A-City, she prepared to engage the enemy aircraft, dismissing fellow S-Class hero Superalloy Darkshine’s concerns about the spaceship’s distance as pathetic.

Ignoring Genos’s offer to help, Tatsumaki took on the threat alone, intercepting cannon fire aimed at her comrades.Months later, Tatsumaki was summoned by the Hero Association for a meeting regarding the Monster Association raid. With her characteristic arrogance, she dismissed the monsters as cowards and suggested annihilating Z-City to eliminate them, showing little regard for the hostage.

After a tense argument with Sweet Mask over leadership, King’s arrival diffused the situation. The strike team set out to confront the Monster Association, and Tatsumaki quickly dispatched the monster Evil Eye. She then stormed the Monster Association Headquarters, easily gaining the upper hand against Gyoro Gyoro, who underestimated her strength.

After defeating him, she realized he was just a vessel for Psykos, Fubuki's former ally turned enemy.Recognizing that Psykos’s true body lay deep underground, Tatsumaki located and confronted her. Following a brief exchange, they clashed, and Tatsumaki restrained Psykos to extract information. Just as she was about to assist Sweet Mask, Orochi attacked her. During the battle, Tatsumaki expressed frustration over her comrades' failure to rescue Tareo, wishing she could destroy the base. When Psykos merged with Orochi, Tatsumaki noticed a significant increase in their combined powers and sustained injuries but received word that Tareo was safe.

Declaring it was time to unleash her full potential, she used her psychic abilities to lift her fellow heroes to safety. As she prepared to bring the Monster Association base above ground, she was suddenly attacked by Psykos and Orochi, who unleashed a devastating energy beam. Tatsumaki countered, creating distractions and ultimately destroyed Psykos’s hollow body. However, just as she was about to complete her rescue mission, she was injured by Psykos's quick regeneration. Genos intervened, helping to fend off Psykos, while Tatsumaki stubbornly insisted on handling the situation herself. Together, they worked to save the remaining heroes, but Tatsumaki soon found herself overexerting her powers, leading to a nosebleed.Despite her condition, she contained Psykos within a barrier to prevent her escape. The battle intensified as Psykos attempted to launch a final attack, but Tatsumaki cleverly used the environment to her advantage. With the support of other S-Class heroes, she prepared to finish off Orochi with a massive psychic spear, ending the beast..

Shigeo

“Now I’ll be able to hit you with everything…my powers and my rage.”

Look at this boy. Isn't he rather plain? He looks like the most inconspicuous background character from One Punch Man or something. That's until you take a deeper look. Behind that unmoving face, is an all-powerful esper, who just wants to be normal. This is Shigeo Kageyama.

Now, Kageyama was born with said powers. Normally, being a boy with Psychic powers is pretty cool. And of course, it was! But things kick off on the day simply known as that incident. When Shigeo and his younger brother Ritsu were jumped by some teenage bullies. Being shrugged off pretty easily due to his small size and age difference, Shigeo watched in horror as his brother was continuously battered in front of him. This horror, however, turned into extreme emotional stress, causing him to lose control of his powers, and snap. While he did go a bit overkill on those bullies, in his desire to protect his brother, the extreme emotional stress inadvertently injured Ritsu as well, and left him with some issues of his own.

Not...great exactly.

Due to this traumatic event, Mob questioned himself deeply. And decided, it was best to hide himself. So, by restricting his emotions, Mob was able to bottle up his powers for good.

Until...Reigen.

In an attempt to help control his powers, Mob decided to get some counseling. Conveniently enough, Reigen just so happened to be looking for a way to expedite his success in the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. The two would soon become a super wholesome duo, excorsing every spirit (or terrorist organization) that came their way. And by their, I mean Mobs. You see, Reigen very much didn't have any psychic powers. Instead, Mob did pretty much all of the heavy lifting. Surprisingly, he didn’t mind all too much. Despite everything, even though his emotions were locked away, Mob found comfort in helping others.

As the story progresses, Mob finds great challenges in attempting to keep his values in check. From his Innate desire to just…not want to fight people, going as far as to eat attacks from Teruki and his decision to ignore peaceful spirits, to his struggle to keep his emotions in check when those inevitabilities do take place. But for the most part, he is able to persevere.

Take a look at his relationship with Reigen for instance. Initially, Reigen appears to exploit Mob's psychic abilities for his own gain, but as the story progresses, he becomes a genuine mentor who helps Mob navigate his emotions. Mob learns about empathy and human connection, while Reigen, despite his everything, grows into a more responsible and caring figure.

His actions changed and inspired those around him. If he wasn’t turning foes into allies, or creating renewed purpose for an aspiring writer, he was showing strength and bravery in the body improvement club. Even when he was trapped in a mental landscape, where he faced relentless bullying and isolation, pushing him to the brink of despair, Mob is still able to reignite his spirit and rise above the hatred that was forced down his throat.

But suddenly, everything broke.

In the final arc of the Story, Mob learns that his long-time crush, Tsubomi, is moving away from the area. Now fueled by renewed determination and the motivation of his allies, There's a lot of hope in the air. However, tragedy strikes when Mob's heroic instinct leads to a devastating accident, in which he is hit by a car while saving a kid. This unleashed the chaotic ???% form, the embodiment of his unrepressed and possibly Infinite Psychic power. The very same thing that first hurt Ritsu, and caused him to lose himself in the first place.

As Mob spirals into this destructive state, the efforts of his friends, Teruki, Sho, Ritsu, and the Body Improvement Club seem pointless and futile at first. The force is simply able to work through everything that they do. Luckily, Teruki and Ritsu can make a minor opening, for Mob, to confront himself.

But all seemed hopeless.

His identity, everything that had happened to him, all of the memories, all of the friends, they were starting to fade away. He was completely losing himself.

But who better than Reigen to come to his rescue?

With unwavering resolve, Reigen steps forward. Running through an entire storm that would be death to anyone normal, He calls out to Mob, reminding him of their shared moments, the lessons learned, and the bonds that cannot be broken by fear or power, even fully admitting to his fraudulent ways, just to attempt to bring him back. A man completely changed by the sunlight he saw, everyday.

Reigen’s heartfelt words cut through the storm, grounding Mob amidst the chaos. He acknowledges the duality within Mob, urging him to accept both his light and darkness. This pivotal moment reignites Mob's sense of self, allowing him to confront ???% directly within his mindscape. After a heartfelt conversation, Mob ultimately chooses to reclaim his identity, realizing that vulnerability is not a weakness but a fundamental part of being human. When he finally faces Tsubomi, he is rejected. And while it hurt, he was finally able to confront his emotions head-on and let it all out.

But what did all of this mean? Why did he have to go through all of this? Well put on your literature goggles for the last haul!

Mob's story shows us that life is a journey of ups and downs, and connections with others foster healing and understanding. It reminds us that, despite challenges, love and support can help us navigate tough times, making us stronger and more resilient.

And most importantly, Mob's story teaches us to love ourselves, and each other. In a world where everyone has a reason to hate everyone else, and everyone has a reason to compare themselves to everyone else, Mob shows us just how important it is that we accept ourselves for who we are. All the edges, all the imperfections, and all the quirks are what make us whole. So don't cut out the parts of yourself you don't like. Love yourself, just like Shigeo Kageyama.

Experience & Skill

Tatsumaki

Tatsumaki has a huge amount of experience to pull from, not only has she been working on her psychic powers at birth, Tatsumaki had been “trained” by the best, not only is she so experienced that she can replicate others psychic techniques and abilities, but she's been going on about this hero business for YEARS, shes fought incredibly strong psychic opponents but shes also mastered her own abilities, she can do anything any other esper has in the series.

Let's look at some of her greatest fights, in her fight against the fused Psychos Tatsumaki was not only able to challenge her abilities but used everything at her disposal to fight against Psychos, she won not only because she was stronger, but because she was able to use the area to her advantage, creating decoys, using rocks, purposefully escaping to hearl giant rocks from a distance out of Psychos range of abilities.

Shigeo

When put to the test in battle, Shigeo proved to be a very adept user of his capabilities despite having shut them away. Additionally, in the year that Mob Psycho 100 takes place, he fights MANY Psychics who have been showing off their skills for a very long time.  And despite not being Physically fit without his powers, he is really good at what can only be described as “Psychic combat” with them.

Take his fight against Teruki for instance. He has the ability to instantly adapt to and replicate the techniques of other espers after seeing them only once. Yet, in their first fight, ???% absorbs his power and molly-whops him with zero percent effort. But Teruki is a fast learner, continuously developing his skills throughout the series, yet even at his best, Mob is still able to beat him in one on one psychic combat.

Not enough for you? How about his encounter with Toichiro Suzuki, the leader of Claw? Toichiro, who leads and empowers over 600 psychics with his own energy, has been fighting for decades now. Even with this devastating power alongside his very own 100% form, Mob is able to keep up with him, and even absorb his psychic power as well, proving himself far stronger than a psychic who has spent a lifetime developing his abilities and controlling others.

Perhaps his most interesting opponent is Keiji Mogami, a psychic who has been fighting for over 80 years and specializes in assassination. Mogami traps Mob in a psychic world of his own creation, controlling every aspect of it, including the people and environments, for what feels like six months in Mob’s mind. And yet even in this illusionary world where Mogami holds all the cards, Mob manages to break free and defeat him.

Mob appears to be at the top of the food chain despite keeping everything chained inside of him.

Abilities

Tatsumaki

Psychokinesis & Telekinesis

Being an esper comes with the basics, of course you have psychokinesis and Telekinesis, the ability to make things float with no effort!, Immobilize people with her power by binding them to the point they can’t even breathe alongside objects or even crushing something bigger than skyscrapers down to the size of cars or even down to dust, can bend objects, in an interview with ONE he said this could even hold the entirety of Z city!, with Tatsu herself stating she can even lift stuff into space, considering she IS the strongest esper in the entire series, it really isn’t a stretch to say she should be able to use all abilities that other espers use!, this comes with the following.

Psychic Energy Manipulation

Of Course, you have your usual psychic abilities, so let's go over them!

Binding

As shown above Tatsumaki can resist and bind others

BFR

Tatsumaki Isn’t against just, trapping people, or throwing them into space

Shigeo

Psychokinesis & Telekinesis

In the world of Mob Psycho 100, esper abilities are the signature method for combat. Mob as you can guess is one of those espers with psychic powers. Not only can he do the signature bare minimum of esper powers and bend spoons but he can use them to smash objects into people to immobilize them or immobilize them directly even crushing or suffocating them from the inside. Lifts stuff and performs aerodynamic tricks, uncoils objects wrapped around him, throws around anything within his range including people. He also has access to other forms dependent on his emotions known as 100% forms and his ultimate state ???% achieves power beyond that making him the strongest in the series.

Psychic Energy Manipulation

With his psychic powers comes a massive array of skills and abilities that come with it.

Spirit Manipulation

Mob has two neat spiritual based abilities in his arsenal.

Elemental Manipulation

Mob can command a neat amount of elemental abilities.

Energy Absorption

Mob can not only absorb the energy of other psychics but he can also absorb the pure energy located within earth’s atmosphere.

Flight

Mob is capable of making his body levitate and because of that he can fly and soar through the air at high-speeds even performing twirls and spins. He can even imbue his power into objects to make them fully fly as well with his full capabilities.

Gravity Manipulation

Forces Koyama to the ground by increasing the gravity in his area, When Reigen gets near ???%, he gets immediately pressured into the ground, Getting closer to ???%'s area increases the gravity of whoever goes near it. ???% also uses gravity manip in an attempt to crush Toichiro under the pressure.

Sound Manipulation

He can generate a noise that, despite only being heard by other espers, can still generate soundwaves/vibrations that non psychics can feel.

Shockwave Manipulation

Manipulating shockwaves is normal in the series and Mob is shown here to generate large shockwaves to keep his enemies away. Shockwaves are even potent enough to internally damage a body and render it temporarily unconscious if struck on the head.

Explosion Manipulation

Not only is it common for espers to have the ability to blow stuff up but Mob consistently makes huge explosions as seen in the gif above he also creates a huge explosion that sends Toichiro flying.

Forms (If Applicable)

The 100% Modes

The following are all forms Mob takes depending on his emotions at the time. Mob’s emotions are kept separate in 100% forms that vary in power or useful due to his restriction of emotions. Some are combat applicable and some are not useful in fights.

  • 100% Getting Carried Away: Mob gains a “Kenshiro face” in response to believing he’s become popular with women and people while turning into an “Alpha” in the process.

  • 100% Trust: Mob gives up a battle when he realizes his enemy refuses to damage him and or cares for him, entering a state of “trust” hence the name.

  • 100% Ecstasy: Mob enters a state of “high” when faced with an opponent he feels like he can finally get serious against even laughing in the face of danger.

  • 100% Shame: After Mob realizes he’s losing himself during the fight against Toichiro on a “battle high” he enters feeble position and does nothing for a few seconds

  • 100% Kindness: Mob was willing to give his life and stayed with Toichiro in ground zero of his explosion while keeping him company in an attempt to absorb all of Toichiro’s power.

  • 100% Friendship: When Mob opens his heart and realizes his opponent’s struggles he will try and befriend them by sending his energy out to be absorbed only infused with his memories.

  • 100% Obsession: If the “LOCK IN” meme was a mode, this would be it. After realizing his parents may still be alive Mob then locks in and focuses on whatever he’s doing, this appeared when he went on a manhunt for psychics near his house.

  • 100% Rejection: In this form Mob fully reflects the attacks that come at him back at his opponents, both physical and mental.

  • 100% Rage: Mob becomes more ferocious with his attack pattern and brutal against his opponent, self explanatory with a form focused on Rage.

  • 100% Sadness: Mob enters a state of sadness and proceeds to reconstruct whatever he destroys.

  • 100% Animosity: This is basically an evolved form of his 100% Rage mode, Mob because much more bloodlusted and even generates huge area of effect attacks, not caring for the surrounding area.

  • 100% Compassion: Basically Mob’s “I’ll put you out of your misery” mode, Mob becomes full of regret as he tries to finish off his opponent as soon as possible after meeting an enemy that is full of emotional struggle but refuses to listen to reason.

  • 100% Resignation: Basically this is 100% compassion but filled with a more hateful feeling, Mob is even willing to kill someone when realizing they’re willing to be more bad and evil than change.

  • 100% Murderous Intent: Mob enters a ballistic state that would have killed anyone he considered an enemy instantly with no remorse or chance.

  • 1,000% Gratitude: Mob becomes more grateful towards anyone who tells them they’ll handle all his problems, sometimes he may even transfer his power into others without even realizing.

  • 100% Courage: Mob’s most iconic and strongest 100% emotion, he becomes willing to face a battle head on and not willing to give up even having sparkles in his eyes as a symbol of his resolve.

???% “The Mob”

In this legendary state, Mob lets his inner-self take over his body and becomes a walking natural disaster. This form is not only the strongest level of power Mob can achieve but it is the strongest in the entire series always performing it’s feats with no notable effort, it’s capable of using all of Mob’s powers and skills while increasing all of his stats on 100% to a “no diff” capacity and it’s power still keeps growing the more the form is active. It calls itself “Shigeo Kageyama” (Mob’s real name) as it believes to be the true person that owns the body. Originally being hard to control throughout the series by the end of it all, it merges with Mob now both becoming one and Mob now having it as well as all of his powers completely under his control.

Scaling

Tatsumaki

Common People/Heroes

These are lesser known characters and common heroes in the series who get their credit, Which Tatsumaki should scale to easily.

Neo Heroes

Neo Heroes is a simple organization made in an attempt to apply heroes who wish to stop the corruption and selfishness spreading within the main Heroes association, to show what “True Heroism” really is. They take anyone willing to help their cause and anyone willing and put heroes in a more “fairer” environment. Tatsumaki is stronger than anyone here by virtue of being stated as the Hero’s “strongest weapon”

Villains

The following are monsters that were not officially part of the monsters association and bad guys who weren't monsters that scale under Tatsumaki.

S Class Heroes

The best of the best of heroes in the world of One Punch Man, they’ve risen amongst the ranks with their constant acts of heroism against evil with top of the line skills, experience or they bullshit their way to the top (cough King). Tatsumaki should scale to basically every S Class Hero, with the exception of Blast at the moment.

The Monsters Association

The following are all of the noteworthy beasts and creatures that have made their presence known in the One Punch Man world with acts of terrorism and massive amounts of destruction that have killed many and destroyed large portions of cities. The Monsters may be a little harder to pin down, a lot of the monster association members are really hard to scale, so we’ve come to an agreement, Tatsumaki should scale to basically everyone in their group, with a hard placement for one Monster [See before the verdict].

  • Platinum S moves really fast (4.33 - 502c)

Shigeo

               Team Mob Psycho

Composed of his friend Teruki Hanazawa and ally on the battlefield, his long-time and faithful little brother Ritsu Kageyama and his con artist master Reigen Arataka. These three are major people in Mob’s life that have molded him to the person he is now over the course of the series. Mob defeated Teruki effortlessly, Ritsu concedes that he is always inferior to Mob and Reigen is just a normal human however his 1,000% form was entirely using Mob’s power therefore any feat he performed Mob scales by default.

Dimple & The Psycho Helmets

The evil spirit turned wholesome Dimple and the simple minded Broccoli monster seeking nothing but nourishment Psycho Helmet. These two chain together due to the fact their power both come from the same source, the giant Broccoli that was created in the explosion caused by the scraps of Toichiro’s power that Mob couldn’t fully absorb. Mob defeated Dimple effortlessly in the past and even when Dimple achieved “Godhood” he still couldn’t hold a candle to Mob and Psycho Helmet massively struggled against God Dimple to the point he purely had an advantage via strength in numbers.

Keiji Mogami & The Evil Spirits

The fallen psychic hero turned into an evil spirit because he wished to “change the world” after he couldn’t bear the suffering of losing his mother and her blaming her death on him when she turned into a spirit. So to fix the world Mogami had spent decades (25 or 40 depending on if you use the manga or anime) absorbing evil spirits to strengthen himself as he traveled across the world, killing or torturing those who were corrupted with evil. Mob faced him in his strongest 100% form (100% Courage) and defeated the man himself but was overwhelmed by his spirits until he obliterated them all in his ???% state.

Toichiro Suzuki & The Claw Organization

The evil group bent on controlling the world and their leader Toichiro Suzuki. This organization was made by Toichiro in hopes he would fulfill his role as being #1 in the entire world no matter the circumstances and showcase how espers can dominate the world. Toichiro even spent 20yrs charging up his psychic power growing stronger by the minute and traveled the world to see if his dream really could come true. Mob dominated all of his subordinates effortlessly and fought Toichiro with both being at 100%, Mob held his own greatly despite being slightly surpassed in the end. Of course Mob didn’t enter his ???% state at the time of his first encounter which would have dominated Toichiro, even Toichiro concedes Mob would have won had he used his ???% against him in his prime believing his dream of taking over the world would never come true.

Weaknesses

Tatsumaki

There's a reason Saitama labeled her as a sassy lost child. Tatsumaki can show large cases of arrogance, and is generally overconfident in her abilities. To the point that she pretty much automatically looks down on her opponents, even when her opponent is equal or even STRONGER than her she tends to hype up her own abilities to the point that she genuinely believes that she can just erase the opponent. She also cannot manipulate or turn off other psychic/non psychic energies superior to her capabilities.

Shigeo

As you can expect naturally being the quiet and pacifist that he is, Mob has a problem trying to “read the room” often being the odd one out and his nice guy nature makes him hold back for most of a fight only letting himself get serious the more he realizes how much his life as well as the life of others may be at stake. As I’ve highlighted prior as well, Mob’s absorption power isn’t passive unless he’s in his strongest form that being ???% and his absorption power does have a limit, he cannot absorb all energy superior to his own. If you’ve seen the series then you would also be aware that Mob’s percentage growth takes time to grow to 100% and beyond if Mob isn’t already ready for battle. Mob’s susceptible to his resistances when his stamina is either completely drained or if he’s unconscious.  Mob’s psychic powers are also naturally not connected to his physical capabilities, he needs to amp it as well as himself in order for it to be connected.

Before The verdict

ONE’s statement regarding Mob VS Tatsumaki

ONE, the creator of both One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 was once asked in an interview on who would win in a fight between Mob and Tatsumaki. His exact answer was “Tatsumaki is stronger than a normal Mob, but if he gets serious there is no answer”. Some say the credibility of this statement is faulty due to claiming it’s either outdated based on the feats both have performed as the years went on past this statement’s release date or because ONE’s answer sounding a bit vague regarding the outcome while he does state Tatsumaki surpasses a normal Mob he gave no definitive answer for him when “serious” which could be either 100% or ???% but we didn’t include it here because of the holes in the claim.

The Tatsumaki meteor debacle

So to make this short and sweet, many recall the scene where Tatsumaki kills the Ancient King with a meteor from space. This feat was not accounted for in the blog because Yusuke Murata has gone on record himself to state the scene happened due to miscommunication with the animators. Tatsumaki was supposed to kill The Ancient King with a large rock thrown at high speeds,The King was then supposed to have PTSD from the meteor that killed the dinosaurs before his death and generate a flashback. While the meteor scene itself supports some feats and scaling Tatsumaki has, the feat itself wasn’t supposed to happen in general.

The size of Earth in One Punch Man

For those who don't know there’s an interesting discussion amongst people talking about how large the world of One Punch Man is. This is crucial because it could change some major calculations that Tatsumaki scales to. People argue it's larger than ours due to the celestial body being shot next to the planet in the diagram. This would make most conclude that it is the moon and can make the planet much larger than our own. However what some might also not consider is there is another celestial body displayed as the same size on the diagram, there's no explanation ever stated that the world of One Punch Man has two moons and it wouldn’t make sense for it to be the sun either because that suggests the sun in this universe is moon size. The biggest factor that makes the scaling to the celestial bodies incorrect is the fact all of the cities of One Punch Man are visible on the graph of the planet which would make the sizes of the planet vary a lot via numerous calculations that others have made for instance City Z is roughly more than 322km in diameter which would make the diameter of the planet smaller than irl by this logic. This inconsistency would make the planet either bigger or smaller than our earth therefore it would be easier to claim the earth in the One Punch Man world is as big as our own to prevent discrepancy with its size.

What is going on with Boros?

Starting with star Boros, or… Just Boros in general, not only has Boros been stated to be near the level of near-perfect monster Garou (in fact he should just genuinely be equal) this statement was made long before cosmic Garou was a thing, we can assume this is referring to semi monster Garou, this same Garou should be above Darkshine but also slightly stronger then Bang?, not only is this super weird for scaling because he was still adapting throughout his battles and had not reached his peak until facing Saitama and ONE was referring to a Semi Monster Garou around the time he first encountered Saitama so it’s a bit dubious to work with however Tatsumaki should still be much MUCH stronger than Bang and a weaker Semi Monster Garou was stronger than Platinum Sperm, SO, should Tatsumaki be able to scale to Boros? Perhaps, even though this entire scaling chain is really weird, Garou had much closer fights with Darkshine and Bang than with Platinum Sperm, while Garou simply cut Platinum in half he took time to fight Darkshine and Bang, NOW, for the real meat of this, IS BOROS STAR LEVEL?...  for the claim - Maybe? but I’d lean negative, CSRC has a wide variety of feats but the most confused upon is this statement from a blu ray guidebook, The kanji used is the term 星 (Hoshi) this word directly correlates to the word “Star” or “Heavenly body”, but this is where the problems start, the most common counter argument to star Boros is, “Well hoshi can mean MULTIPLE things!, what if it's just referring to the planet?” Even though the kanji can mean that let's take a look at this image here, note how Hoshi is used twice, well that's because one is used to name Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon, while the other is used to say that it can obliterate a star. Note that "Hoshi" is USED TO NAME CSRC!!! This is obvious proof that it wasn't a translation mistake, and the source material wanted to write star however Boros himself in both the webcomic made by ONE himself, the manga supervised by ONE with the artist work of Murata, and the OPM Databook based on the manga all directly state he was only going to vaporize the Planet’s Surface. The anime’s variant has Boros say he would “blast Saitama and the planet to hell” and the same blueray guide even states prior that Boros can “blast away entire planets” which could support the “Hoshi” meaning Planet as opposed to Star but considering the three mainline sources against it, it’s confusing. Boros even states he would release all of his energy in the process meaning he’d have nothing left after firing out an attack that was only going to vaporize the earth’s surface. Assuming you do take the statement and assume Boros’s planet surface statement is limited to area of effect it wouldn’t make sense because a blast the size of the Earth’s surface wouldn’t blow up a star as it would look excruciatingly small by comparison, about 1.3 million size difference bare minimum

So.. about Black Holes

Starting first, Geryuganshoop’s power. He states he has strong telekinetic abilities with gravity manipulation and proceeds to compare it to that of a black hole sounds simple enough right? Unfortunately, it's not that easy. Not only does his power not have anything displaying it’s comparable to a blackhole or any description of how it works to give it the benefit of the doubt but it would also be massively inconsistent with the space pirates group, a henchman can generate force equal to a black hole but the strongest guy in the group more than likely can’t even blow up an entire planet?. Even his creator Yusuke Murata believes it’s doubtful for his telekinetic prowess to be on par with blackholes because it would be “too powerful”. Murata even believed Geryuganshoop’s telekinetic prowess surpassed Tatsumaki’s but is now a bit doubtful on the idea purely because he’s unaware of how ONE treats his original characters. Moving on, you guys may have noticed Ishiguro’s calculations and had your head scratching and yes I can understand the confusion, to elaborate Ishiguro’s black orbs are consistently claimed as being “black holes” with their description being stated as “gravitational singularities in space-time” that can only be repealed with force the opposite of the gravitational pull. Despite Sho’s statement of Ishiguro’s black orbs being made from psychic energy that does not discredit their direct description matching that of natural black holes or the required method Sho needed to destroy them. Admittedly don’t have much visual showings other than the gravitational pull and swallowing/destroying anything they touch so if you don’t personally believe this is enough to classify them that’s understandable but at worst this would be a very neat hax resistance feat for Mob. I would also imagine it would look strange for people to see non ???% tiers as being anywhere near Planet, with the next best thing being the high-end interpretation of Mob making a sound that reached Aliens in space or assuming Mogami scales to the spirits he absorbed that created the parallel world but they’re separate from him because when Mob defeated Mogami himself the parallel world did not disappear, the spirits just went wild and all focused on killing Mob. In summary, both blackholes suffer from not having enough on-screen visual representation of operating like natural blackholes and being inconsistent with the power scaling of each other’s series.

Planet/MFTL+ Mob?!

Ok so someone might initially not understand this so to elaborate regarding Planet Mob, yes it is concrete but let’s talk about the more solid piece of evidence first. You see it originally came from Mogami’s Parallel World. To start it is a constant narrative in Mob Psycho 100 that you need to see the world to change it. Mogami’s plan for changing/fixing the world would be to travel it as an evil spirit and take over/kill any forms of evil that exist around the world for his idea of justice. The world itself is referred to as a “Parallel World”, despite it being a world composed of the spirits that Mogami had absorbed over the many decades he's traveled the world. He has directly stated that the contents within the world are the same as real life to the point he’s also stated he made the world in accordance to his and Mob’s memories Mob even says the world was “It was all so Real”, Mob had lived in this world for 6 months with nothing feeling off to him minus the bullying with the only difference being Mob lives in a world where he doesn’t have psychic powers. To further prove this point, the anime showcased the parallel world having a curvature and a core just like the earth and when it’s destroyed Mob is left stranded in the vacuum of space with stars around him, while this would initially be brushed off as an “anime only” thing and be dubious for consistency there’s nothing to suggest the manga version doesn’t have a core/curvature as well. Most would believe it doesn’t just because due to technicality the farthest view shot we have of the world mid-battle is rough>12kms radius but we still see a large amount of land in the distance, ONE himself had his full hand in the anime’s production based on interviews studio BONES they were working closely with him to the point he even attended staff meetings with directors for episode production so any anime only material was made with his hearsay and it would be authorial intent for the manga version being earth-sized. The Official Mob Psycho 100 Fanbook that focuses on the manga also states that % had destroyed the world in an instant so no “unspecified timeframe” excuse here and would thus place the feat at 59.5 Zettatons of TNT using the standard GBE of the earth and 0.133c for how fast ???% 's energy traveled.

Regarding any other method for Planet Mob it would be dubious to take, with the noise space feat it’s admittedly a bit harder to pinpoint than most would have to believe. The context is clear at least, Mob makes a sound that can reach from Earth to some Aliens in space. The problem is we don’t know exactly where the Aliens were at the time if they were already traveling in space or if they were already on their Planet, which most definitely exists far from the solar system since Inukawa lives on the planet for 10 days and states there is no night, it’s sunny all day. The Mob Psycho 100:Official Fanbook even states the Aliens weigh 23 Tons normally but under Earth’s gravity they weigh 693kg (5kg when wearing anti-gravity underwear). While this wouldn’t make the feat unquantifiable it would make a very large gap in results as you guys can see (22 Kilotons of TNT - 38.7 Yottatons of TNT) the Aliens aren’t even given the smaller end so the low end would be bigger than presented but I can imagine people arguing the smaller ends as more consistent for Base - 100% Mob tiers and less in the series if you barred the black hole statements for Ishiguro. Just as important, we also have a big gap problem in speed regarding how long it took for the noise to reach the Aliens in space which gives the large gap and again (Mach 3,152 - 26.76 million c), I can see people arguing the lower ends for the sake of consistency. The reason why Mob would generally scale to this is that the cast has been shown firing attacks amped by their power and reacting to them on numerous occasions. The next best thing to argue for any form of sustainability for the high end would be to take Teruki’s statement of “traveling to Mob at the speed of light” seriously to which I can understand people taking it as hyperbole, even barring the fact Teruki’s best form of speed scaling is to Mach 221.9 via dodging attacks from the Psycho Helmets or downscaling Mob’s noise feat depending on which end you choose or the lightspeed statement being anime only (due to ONE’s inclusion in the anime’s production this can be debated). The only light-related psychic powers in Mob Psycho 100 is Sho’s ability to manipulate light to phase through solid objects like walls or refract light to appear invisible to people but he doesn’t have any light attacks as he excels at storing up energy to create explosives.

So.. about the mobile games

So… what's up with the mobile games? Well first it's important to note that neither of these are canon so they would only be used as supporting evidence for anything already supported or established in canon. However there are some things that can be put up for scrutiny as to how you approach these feats/statements, for instance in One Punch Man:The Strongest mobile game Tatsumaki is stated to bring the earth to another solar system. Now you would do the math for the kinetic energy required to move the Earth out of orbit which would yield 640.3 Zettatons of TNT seems simple enough right? However that wouldn’t actually apply here as the allegation not only says she can move the earth out of orbit but it states she can move it to another solar system which would indicate FTL capabilities because the statement doesn’t specify which solar system specifically in the Universe. We sadly don’t have an exact timeframe for this but we do have FTL calculations that Tatsumaki scales to but >4.33 - 502c would give us the bare minimum. Thereby nullifying any kinetic energy based calculations for this feat so Tatsumaki would at least scale to the GBE of the Earth which yields 59.5 Zettatons of TNT. This would also be a bit dubious as Tatsumaki at this moment in the story doesn’t have any feats or scaling that gets Planet level your next best bet would argue the same ver of Semi Monster Garou that fought Darkshine and Bang was the same ver ONE states equals Boros which again would be hard due to the previously established information. Concrete wise Tatsumaki currently sits on upscaling 172.91 - 891 Exatons of TNT.

To continue, regarding the Mob Psycho 100:Psychic Battle mobile game it could be a bit less problematic to deal with. The story of the mobile game is simply a retelling of the anime and the Mob space explosion feat (1.49 Zettatons of TNT - 1.764 Yottatons of TNT) is performed by ???% which has Planet feats while always holding back throughout the franchise and it gets stronger the longer the form is used. QNA segments with the cast from the Mob Psycho 100:Official Fanbook even has Mob say he doesn’t know how strong his full power is further confirming this is far from ???% 's full power. There has been some contention brought up regarding using the rock kinetic energy method of the feat because of the rocks heading towards the screen in early releases for the game but as time went off the visual of it changed such as now the initial frame that the rocks appear on screen the moment before the explosion goes off are in frame of the earth in updated variants (and are not approaching the screen in that moment) they scatter the moment the explosion goes off suggesting these rocks are pieces of the earth getting uplifted using this newer version and using the frame where all of the rocks are grouped up would make the rock version range anywhere from 9 - 374.9 Zettatons of TNT. The same goes for speed as ???% creating an explosion that reaches space in half a second (0.012 - 0.028c) is supported by this same transformation expanding its energy around the world instantly without doing any effort. Of course you are free to your interpretation as to how we should tackle these mobile games but in this comparison, Mob leans in the most sensible direction.

Stats

So, who's stronger with direct feats?,  let's start at low ends, at ABSOLUTE low ends, Mob at his lowest should reach around 51 gigatons, while Tatsumaki reaches about 335 gigatons, placing her relatively higher at low ends, looking at the mid ball we can see a change in favor, Tatsumaki reaches over 891 Exatons while Mob reaches over 59.5 ZETTATONS for example, if we were to convert zettatons to exatons it would be 59,500 EXATONS or 66.77 times stronger than Tatsumaki’s best, now, at their absolute highest end, without doubting anything and ignoring everything else like context, Tatsumaki sits at around 640 Zettatons, while Mob sits at 38 Yottatons, This is completely shows how outclassed Tatsumaki is even IF you were to include her being able to pull earth out of orbit, Mob is still stronger, completely outclassing Tatsumaki, BUT let's swap this around a little, let's look at Tatsumaki's highest point, with Boros, if you completely agree with Boroses star feat Mob is not only blown out of the water, no OCEAN, the complete difference in power is almost 2,368,421.053x stronger than Mob at his absolute peak in strength.
Low/Absolute ends (Buying Boros being star) = Tatsumaki

Mid/High ends = Mob

For Speed, we can start with low ends again.

Tatsumaki sits at Mach 1.3 to Mach 36 While mob sits at Mach 5 to Mach 6.06 Putting Tatsumaki ahead of Mob at the low ends, not by much but it's something. Now let's look at the mid ball, Mob sits at around Mach 168 to Mach 5,202 While Tatsumaki sits at about Mach 1,887 to  Mach 7,278 Putting her ahead of him, BUT Mob can reach even higher speeds with his own feats, reaching upwards of Mach 3152, 0.012,  0.028c, 0.133c, 0.018c or 5.32c which is quite easily able to beat out Tatsumaki's highest.

When scaling is applied to them, Tatsumaki roughly sits in ranges from 1.52c to 4.1c to 4.33c, and at her absolute highest 502c Which completely blows mob out of the water!. . . . Okay I've been dancing around this, the  26.76 million c feat.  If we ignored EVERYTHING else about this that contradicts it, it’s still a complete outlier of everything else within what we’ve been shown, which is why the lowest end to this feat should really be the only one used, at 5.32c. Too low to net him the win in this department.

Low/Mid/High ends = Tatsumaki

Direct Feats/Absolute ends (Buying 26 million c) = Mob

So in general, while Mob is consistently stronger when that dastardly one eyed alien isn't applied, Tatsumaki is generally faster, unless that dastardly sound isn't applied.

Abilities

This one has more meat on the bone than you think. You may have noticed Mob has much more abilities than Tatsumaki but let's actually break down the ones that would be very supportive in this match

The most notable of Tatsumaki’s abilities are power copying, psychic energy suppression, healing, power nullification, durability negation and BFR

The most of notable of Mob’s abilities are psychic/non psychic energy absorption, durability negation,exorcism,deconstruction/reconstruction and regeneration

Tatsumaki’s ability to psychic other psychic energies would be very helpful but we should only go off of what is possible for her based on the showcased capabilities of other psychics in her universe such as Psycho’s ability to absorb other psychic energies but assuming Tatsumaki could also copy his ability to absorb non psychic energies is doubtful as the power mimicry specifically comes from reading psychic wavelengths, Tatsumaki has stated she could manipulate chi/aura but she’s never shown to be capable of absorbing it. Metal Knight’s statement of Tatsumaki’s psychic energies reaching down to the cellular level would also make it sumptuous to believe she could also copy Mob’s deconstruction and reconstruction capabilities. Tatsumaki’s BFR would simply just be countered by Mob flying back into orbit from space and coming back from being sealed underground similarly to Saitama. There also hasn’t been any psychic healing factors in One Punch Man that reach down to soul destruction like in Mob Psycho 100 so there’s little chance Tatsumaki can copy Mob’s superior healing factor as well. Psychic energy suppression would be neat to get the drop on Mob if psychics in Mob Psycho 100 didn’t naturally have enhanced senses to track non psychic energies from organisms as weak and small as birds and bugs. They both have durability negation of attacking their opponent’s internally but in this regard Mob’s superior healing factor could help him outlast this scenario. Tatsumaki’s Power Nullification wouldn’t work on Mob either because Mob was capable of countering Mogami’s power nullification by tapping into his emotions whether or not you have Tatsumaki as superior to Mob’s power wouldn’t matter because Mogami was also superior to Base Mob but Mob still regained his powers before their final battle.

In conclusion, Mob’s powerset concretely keeps him in the fight for the long haul and resists Tatsumaki’s notable capabilities with Tatsumaki’s own potential being more so up to speculation.

Tertiary Factors

Let’s talk about endurance real quick.

Now between these two, Mob obviously has more showings of endurance. Thanks in part to a combination of being the protagonist and actually being hit more often than not. Generally, Mob is usually pretty battered by the end of his fights. I mean, look at whatever the hell happened with Teruki! Mob ate hits from him WITHOUT his powers!

On top of that, he’s also been tossed through building constructs, slammed into walls by fully grown, shameful men, and had to regenerate from his soul being obliterated.

But on the flipside, Tatsumaki has shown to be involved in longer, more strenuous battles with (and we can’t stress this enough) more skilled opponents. Not to demean the psychics of Mob Psycho, but Tatsumaki’s fights end up more under pressure as a result. Regardless, even though this is one of the closer categories,  Mob edges it.

There's not much to go over here besides Experience and Skill, Which reasonably should go to Tatsumaki, not only has she been fighting monsters for, her whole life, but she's been fighting much more skilled opponents (if she doesn’t just immediately go for the kill) take some of their highest feats of skill, those being Mob’s fight against Keiji Mogami and Tatsumaki’s against Psychos. Mob certainly had some impressive feats, but Tatsumaki just showed much better feats of knowledge when compared, it should also be noted that, while Tatsumaki isn’t against murder Mob is, even if you were to argue he could with ??? that's assuming his fusion with him. Becoming 1 (And Only One) didn’t remove his bloodlust.
